True. Dallas D was on fire too. Other than fresh legs and trickery, i don't know why shanny waited to put Mitchell in. He's so much better as a pure between the tackles runner than CMC and he sat

Depends on how the game progressed. The Eagles has by far the best pass rush in the NFL, we will need to run the ball to slow down the pass rush.

Certainly, the 49ers could be a lot better with their RB rotation to spread it out to Elijah Mitchell, who did go into our season as the starter, and Jordan Mason, a guy who's been highly productive in a limited role. I also agree that Elijah Mitchell is a better inside-the-tackles runner. Perhaps not as explosive, but he's like the Frank Gore of the zone running scheme. He never gets negative yardage, and always picks up an extra yard or two, even if it's not there.

But CMC simply offers more overall---most teams often call multiple plays in the huddle so that the QB can check to one if he doesn't like what he sees. If CMC is in there, sure, maybe they might have a run originally in mind, but if the defense shows something, perhaps the offense can check to better plays with CMC than with other RB's.

I disagree, you don't abandon your game plan if it doesn't work immediately. Even the run attempts that didn't gain much yardage allowed us to pass, and eventually the run game loosened up enough to ice the game. Tom Brady threw it sixty something times, how'd that work out?

you hit a few big passes and them keep them off balance with the run

you pass to set up the run

Yeah.
If we take away the run, even if it's only 2 yards per carry, the play action pass loses all efficacy. And ultimately, once we weathered the storm and took the best Dallas had to offer in the first half... we came into the second half and ran the ball A LOT more successfully.
Kyle sees something in the Dallas defense cause he said he told the guys it's gonna be close a game and prepared like so all week. Good close game to prepare for going to Philly.
He deserved coach of the year for making it to the NFCC with three different qbs including a Mr. Irrelevant.

Outstanding. Jed hit a homer with this one.
Man the way our defense played today, Kyle needs to call them out every week

"eagles defense dominated the giants more" or something lol

Love my coach

Lets coach em up and fix stuff for our upset next week Kyle

I'm grateful for our couch. Grateful to be in the NFCCG for the 3rd time in 4 years. Grateful that although we are the underdog, I think we have a good chance to beat the Eagles and anyone coming out of the AFC. I'm grateful that we won't face another defense as fast and athletic all over the field as Dallas's is. Hoping we can put together great performances in all three phases of the game next week, win, and repeat in the Super Bowl.

These guys are morons. They want to be right so much.
Why do you want to trade Lance with all the injuries the Niners have on the QB position with Kyle?

Like you said, the Niners are in the NFCCG for the 3rd time in 4 years.
The Niners have a hell of a coach.
Kyle always gives this team a chance to fight.
They should not let him leave this building like his father. Give him a lifetime contract, I don´t care.
It´s almost even more difficult to find a great HC than a franchise QB.
This team was maybe the worst team in the league when Kyle took the job. Amazing work by Kyle, John Lynch and all the guys around them.

Brock's best plays come off PA. You gotta establish the run somewhat to make that s**t affective. I don't care who the QB is, we will always be a run based team with Kyle.
Heck of a coach.
