Needed some slants, hooks, hitches and a screen to McCaffrey being that the Cowboy D- line was abusing the O- line.

Agreed. Dallas small line would have been exposed if they put mason in there and ran behind Trent williams with juice and kittle pulling on blocks.

We would have blown them out and worn them down way faster.

He tried a couple screens to McCaffrey and deebo but the plays were too slow developing and got blown up.

I think we just needed to run behind Trent with a bigger back. Potentially some delayed handoffs could have worked or maybe something like a double reverse if you could use Dallas speed against them.

Mason needs to be used more imo. In every game.

I saw the screens towards the sidelines like bubble screens. I'm thinking like middle screens.
I had had some harsh words for Shanahan this year. At times he may have deserved a little bit of criticism and I think I was too hard on him. I want to take it all back, I love this coach. Go Niners!

These armchair Madden generation play callers absolutely kill me

Yup all he's ever needed is a QB to stay healthy that makes the throws on the calls he makes.
I'll never get how so many people in here think they know how to call plays better than a coach that is now in his 3rd NFCCG in 4 years..

We are lucky to have him, that's for sure.

Yep.
They also forget he's matching wits with a very good defensive coordinator in Dan Quinn that knows him pretty well, and has a very talented defense. And yesterday's gameplan, while very unpretty, never put a young Brock Purdy in any bad situations. Pretty incredible to have a productive offense and still protect the QB.

And still, he opened up the playbook as well and trusted Purdy. That 3rd and 15 conversion to Aiyuk was very nice.
The fanatics take it personal to ask why not run behind the left side of the O-line a few more times hehehe.

Yes, we are. I remember vividly 2003-2010 and 2015-2016 when we didn't have coaching that could hold Kyle Shanahan's jock.

Well you would think it is fairly obvious to run behind the future HOF in Trent Williams but apparently it's not.

Especially after trying behind glintch and brunskill multiple times.

Some people are just stubborn and think they know best.

Yeah, I understand game plan and balance and all but saying a few more times behind the best guy on the line.
