But this is what I was worried about with Shanny... I didn't want him to turn into Josh McDaniels, when he traded away all of their top vets.

Yes Bowman is older than some on the team but he's not OLD OLD. If we had him for the next 3 or so years he could've been getting our future LBers ready.

Bow is a great leader and team player. If you are going to keep a Vet why wouldn't you keep him? What are we expecting to get for him right that would make it worth it long term?

But yeah lets keep throwning the other Vet on the field, who is s**tting the bed and hasn't done s**t in his career...especially compared to Bowman. Hoyer...lol. What does that say to our young players who look up to oir TRUE Vet leaders.

What the f**k is this franchise becoming. Got f**king Brian Hoyer QBing an 0-5 team, while trying to trade former Probowlers. Wish yall could've seen this coming a few years ago.

I'm sure the same people will come in here now and do what they usually do when we get a new head coach who hadn't proven himself. Turn their backs and bash our proven Vets, and blindly say everything is going to be fine.

I don't like the idea of trading him (unless we get something pretty good in return). I think he could still get back to pre-injury form in time but I'm not out there at each practice etc and haven't spoken with team doctors and whatnot. Maybe he is at a new lower plateau (long term). Who knows.

If the locker room was full of vets with connections to Bowman they'd run the risk of losing the locker room but seeing our team is mostly young guys and rookies I guess they wont have that problem. Still, I'd rather see them rework his contract before they trade him. He could be a great teacher for Foster.

Anyway, I don't like it but it's funny to see doom squad guys that criticized Bowman's play now criticize Shanahan for potentially trading him. Damned if you do damned if you don't?

It's possible the trade talk may be Shanalynch trying to do right by Bowman. If they are looking at the longterm and really don't see him as a fit, and if NaVorro is not feeling the role he's currently being asked to play on this team, it's possible his point of view re: going to another team may have evolved since the pre-season.

F*ck shanahan.

Disrespectful like I said and pulling shanahanigans like his dad. He ain't gon last 2-3 years. I hope we get a proven head coach next time
