Kroft is generally a good blocker. Not like he had Dwelley out there.

99 times out of 100 that's just a fumble.

And therefore 99 out of 100 times it's a poor decision. You don't leave a TE one-on-one with a guy who had 18 sacks.

That was the game! I understand O-Line assignments, but Reddick just ran by McGlinch on another play.
With "fans" like these who needs rivals.
Expecting a TE to block Reddick Is the definition of Insanity.

End result, QB killed.

Game over at that point.
Super Bowl loss as an OC
Super Bowl loss as a HC
Gets his QBs hurt every year

Haven't re-watched it yet, but 99 out of 100 times you do that, you're expecting help from the tackle.

Regardless, priority one next year is revamp the offensive line. I called this in preseason. It's not good enough.
Excellent job this year.

Yet NFL teams do it every single week. Bosa has been matched up with TE's plenty of times.
At some point Kyle will have to an emphasis on protecting his QB. We should have been better prepared to keep Purdy clean. It's the same thing we've seen all season, free runners getting big hits on the QB. Can't win championships that way.

Really gonna blow his mind when DEs get left unblocked intentionally also.
Coach of the Year. I love this man

Isn't it obvious. He asked him to pass. If he had been injured running then that would be the reason. People that are sick of Shanahan are nuts. I'm more sick of fans that are clueless and try to blame the coach, the refs or the owner every time they lose. Sometimes it's just bad breaks. Sometimes it's poor decisions by the players. Today it was a little of both. I didn't see one penalty that was a terrible call. One or two might have been close but hitting the QB out of bounds and grabbing receivers right in front of the ref is stupid. The roughing the kicker penalty was desperation trying to block the punt and make something happen. Just not out day.

Its a tough pill to swallow, I just hope they go all in this offseason to fortify the roster, improve the OL, secondary and DL, hopefully draft well and bring more impact young talent on to the roster and get rolling next season.

The sad thing is there really is not much the team can do to be much better talent wise.we can argue maybe getting better linemen but the blocking was already way better than expected.

You could argue we need a slot receiver who can run routes but really the team is more likely to decline than get better.

It's mostly we need a coach that knows that you can't run a lot of play actions on a team with 70 sacks. Or that your offense is too complex for a non genius QB to execute.

The problem imo is not the talent...

I mean, losing his QB for the game is punishment enough for him.

He also couldn't have foreseen that Lance, Jimmy G, and JJ would get hurt either

Show me how many times Bosa has been lined up one-on-one against a TE (a backup no less) in passing situations this year.

And then show me how many time Bosa was successful.

You're not making the point you think you're making.

Agreed. Eagles aren't leaving Bosa on an island with a backup tight end.
