49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

The thing with Kyle is he is smart and creative BUT if you have a roster built to win and you come up short year after year maybe you need to try your luck somewhere else. Maybe just maybe we do need a new face with new ideas and a fresh start. I am just sick of losing in the post season. Year after year after year. It's always something with him at the helm.
Something wrong with our offensive system. It is supposed to be QB friendly but it seems to put QB's at risk.

JG = Always hurt
4 QB's injured this year

Were other QB's getting hurt before JG?

If you think you can do a better job coaching - step up.

otherwise you are just posting on soap opera forums.

Yeah, once Brock couldn't pass any longer and Josh left with a concussion the end result was inevitable.

You're NOT your dad bro!

If his Dad had all his QB's injured to the point that he wa unable to call passing plays, his coaching would look a lot like today's game.

His dad wasn't dumb or stubborn or as entitled! So never happened!

I don't mind the criticism of Kyle.

It's the wild calls for him to be fired that does my head in.

There's a really big overlap between those calling Kyle to be fired and Grant Cohn fans, and sadly, there are a lot of Grant Cohn fans

Cohn fans are idiots

The problem is there are no other coaches out there.

Payton?

Rebuild?

Crazy but we are who we are.
My problem with Shanahan is he's not Jimmy Johnson. He's everyone's buddy. f**k that. When your players are screwing up, chew them an a*****e and make them accountable. I would've pulled Greenlaw from the game after his ridiculous penalty.

Facing scrutiny from the press and fans. He should have to explain the decision and take accountability for it being a poor one.

Kroft is generally a good blocker. Not like he had Dwelley out there.

99 times out of 100 that's just a fumble.

And therefore 99 out of 100 times it's a poor decision. You don't leave a TE one-on-one with a guy who had 18 sacks.

Yet NFL teams do it every single week. Bosa has been matched up with TE's plenty of times.

Show me how many times Bosa has been lined up one-on-one against a TE (a backup no less) in passing situations this year.

And then show me how many time Bosa was successful.

You're not making the point you think you're making.

Sorry I don't have tape for all the games to go back and make a bunch of cut ups. If you watch other teams, you would know this is not uncommon.

You guys are just all up in your feels and looking to point fingers and place blame.

I watch plenty of other teams, too. It's not an issue of whether it's common. It's a question of whether it's a poor decision. And it is.

Up in my feels? Do you see me calling for Kyle's head or saying we need to blow up the roster?

The game was over after Purdy got hurt. And we put him in harm's way with a poor blocking assignment. The end.

The one time it happens you are here to call it an issue. Reality is, it isn't the first time we have ever done that and not a single person ever complained about it before today.

It's the result that is triggering the reaction not the decision.

Yes, all those times his dad won the Super Bowl when Elway got injured. Legendary.

He wasn't dumb enough to get him injured.

Super Bowl as an OC
Super Bowl loss as a HC
QBs hurt every year

Biggest head coach losers in the history of the NFL.

You know they said the same thing about Tom Landry
NICK SIRIANNI SECOND YEAR HEAD COACH HEADING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!

GUESS WHAT? HE DOESN'T CALL PLAYS!!!!
Should we bring out the pitchforks?
After 6 years if you are too stubborn or st*pid to understand that you have to keep your QB healthy after getting them hurt every single year then you seriously need to look in mirror or take a back seat in player acquisition!
