Guy makes millions of dollars a year.

Swallow your pride say you F*cked up then hire some guys to help you.

Get a guy to call timeouts and do game management calls (kick FG, vs go for it on 4th, when to onside kick, when to kick out the back of endzone, when to use timeouts etc...)

Hire another guy to game plan against specific teams and players each week (we're going to attack corner xxxyyh because he can't cover the slot, we're going to use mason and run him left because left side can't handle backs weighing more than 220, etc...)

Then hire another guy to check the play selection each week and tailor to each teams defense (maybe we shouldn't put long developing plays against teams with good pass rush, maybe we should not have the backup tight end block all pro pass rushers, maybe you run behind Trent instead of mglinctchey because he's struggling etc...)

It's arrogance and narcissism that keep him from just delegating the work around.

Why laugh, Kyle is arrogant and close-minded and needs to get humble .. he was out-coached in every facet of the game today

Easy to be out-coached if your No1 QB has smashed up his throwing elbow and the back has been dropped on the head.

The big lesson here is much more effort needs to be made in improving pass protection. Purdy should never have been hurt, same with JG. Lance should never have been run up the middle.

A big reason why Kyle is the QB Killer is he does not do enough to protect his QBs. Four out this season is not a fluke.

Most definitely a fluke. No one was complaining when Purdy won 7 in a row.
Kyle takes us to 3 NFC championship games out of 4, this year going down to a 4th string QB, and you still have "fans" calling for his job.

Be careful what you wish for.

Unfortunately this is the state of our nuanced fan base. George Seifert, a coach that took this team on deep playoff runs year in and year out, was fired because he couldn't help us overcome an obstacle. Steve Mariucci, who took this team deep into the playoffs multiple times, was fired because he couldn't take this team over the hump.

This is a franchise that prides itself on excellence. And excellence is measured by SB wins. I know some of you weren't around during that era, but it doesn't change the aura that surrounds this team. You can't keep losing NFCC games and Super Bowls and call them successfull seasons. They're not. They weren't in 1992/1993. They weren't in the 70s. They certainly aren't now.

Kyle has been on the sidelines for 6 years now. You cannot say that 3 of 4 NFCC appearances is a huge success. It's as laughable as saying that Andy Reid's countless NFCC game appearances with the Eagles were a huge success.

The Eagles are on the brink of winning a 2nd Lombardi trophy in the same span that Kyle has been our coach. Except they're going to accomplish it with 2 different coaching staffs, and two different quarterbacks. We have the luxury of having continuity and yet we have nothing to show for it.

But, as I said, our fan base has become loose. It's no longer about winning the championship. There's always next year has become something of a norm around theee parts. It's sickening. And yea, Kyle is part of that problem whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

Keep the standard of excellence in tact and all are held accountable to it. Keep the faith, Faithful.

After Mooch was fired - how many years it took to find a good coach?
Fox sports host/ Kyle LevyShottenheimer did nothing to improve the pass rush on the other edge. With No D Ford level edge opposite Bosa, we aren't beating any of the best teams.

Yes, I understand the 'be careful what you wish for' mantra. And I also acknowledge that after Mooch the team was in salary cap hell for a good portion of the early to mid 00s, so that had some impact on the level of talent on this team.

But it doesn't excuse that anything less than a SB is utter FAILURE for this franchise. How some fans fail to see that is mind boggling. I was reading through this forum last night, and there were posters saying things like 'well look at the Lions, look at the Browns'. Why should we look at the Lions or the Browns ? We're not them. We're a storied franchise.
As an older guy here who experienced just how dominant of a franchise we were in the late 80's and early 90's, the younger fans don't realize how important these "close but no cigar" seasons are until you get older. Then you blink and it's been 50 years since your team has won their last Super Bowl. If Kyle can't get it done with the dominant teams he's had he's got to go. This team is getting older. We won't have unlimited "we'll get it done next year". Before we all know it we'll be in another rebuild looking back at these last 4 years thinking "if only we had done this or that".
The golden state warriors fired mark Jackson and the fans damn near revolted. They brought in Steve Kerr who helped the team over the hump and into an era of multiple championships. I know Kyle is popular but maybe he doesn't have what's needed to get this team a Super Bowl WIN. I don't know why that is so unpopular to say out loud.

This was a stacked roster. Probably the most stacked roster in the league, and Kyle still couldn't get it done.

Go away

After a few hours to digest this game. I still say Kyle's a loser.

Come get me when he wins the big one. It ain't happening.

Does that mean, you'll stay off the zone til he wins one?
One can only hope

Truth hurts.

Keep.those playoff losses coming.

I love my coach!
