he's a great offensive play caller, but that is just one phase of the game and the other phases+injuries are why we haven't won. Until he accepts help an change in those other phases we won't win.
No coach has ever done what he has done losing 4 QBs and no one else will.

Stop acting like this is normal across the league

we all know no coach directly causes injuries but all also do know shanahan refuses to protect his qbs an refuses to address our injury epidemic. Look where it's gotten us.

wev had chances. Wev gotten far.

We won't win without changing that.

I'm not going psycho emotion calling for him to be fired. I'm sayin the same thing I have for years, he needs to learn an accept when to make changes. We need changes. Until he makes changes expect to keep coming in 2nd or 3rd place.

just reminds me of how old I am.

it took around 25 years to lower the expectations of the fanbase.

How about you realize the league ain't the same. It's built off having an elite QB now. Ya'll think Brock or Jimmy are "good enough" but in reality if you don't have an elite QB you win NOT be riding to the SB every yr.

people not realizing how hard it is to win in the NFL is what is laughable. Then trying toss out some trash takes about how it's just the coach lol. Ungrateful fan base is all I see from a handful of you

Brock played like an elite QB, as a rookie. I don't know whether he maintains and builds upon that. But he played better than good enough. I regret our season ended without a proper shot at that game. Sometimes just flat out bad luck wins the day.

He ran a great offense that made everything easier for him. Yes he extended some plays and made stuff happened. I still don't really see any real elite traits.

his internal clock seemed to slow down later in the season, he's been holding onto the ball a little longer imo. Greg Olsen was talking about it when he got hit. Said it was showing up on film…it was bad luck regardless. Didn't even have a chance to watch a good game .

I'm not willing to say Brock is the dude that can compete vs the elite QBs. That's just my opinion on it

First off, Greg Olsen is a f**king caveman with a pudding brain.

Secondly, and I'm a huge proponent of this offense, but I don't think just any good enough QB can come in and do what Brock did (regardless of being a rookie). The story is really early in Brock, but all he's done is be at the top of the league in key stats since starting. I don't care what that Neanderthal Olsen says, Brock is has shown elite processing traits, elite decision making traits, elite accuracy traits, and elite improvisation traits. Like I said, who knows if that continues or if it was just a flash in the pan, but how you cannot see elite potential after a strorybook start is beyond me. Between he and Trey, I'm optimistic we have our QB if the future.
It's because their so invested in Trey being the guy that they feel the need to downplay Purdys ability and they'll run with any oaf like Olsens take as long as it fits their narrative.

This is the insanity of the zone.

1. Trey, an unproven athlete playing the qb position who has shown us absolutely nothing is going to outplay the greatest qb of all time.

2. A coach who has zero superbowl wins unde his belt is elite.

Unbelievable.

Who is your HC replacement?????

As always, lot's of complaints with no real solution. If you break it down, there are only about 35 or 40 coaches that have ever won a SB since several have been multiple winners. So I guess all other coaches were garbage during the last 55 years.

They probably need three quarterbacks next year. Regardless of how you feel. They're all going to get hurt with this scheme/pass protection/curse or whatever you want to call it. Its going to have to take everybody on the roster to win

No I'm not going to bury my head in the sand and hope and pray that injuries won't happen next year. Its been a constant recurring theme
Throw this Championship game out, no coach would've had a shot under those circumstances. Figure out what you're going to do with Lance. For me, he's another version of Hurts. Is this what Coach wants/

Tom Brady would mostly likely end up Injured too playing behind this OL.

To think that the 9ers would have been on their 5th QB If they one available Is crazy.

Expect similar results next season until Kyle learns how to protect his QBs.
Let's move to a more productive conversation.

What does Kyle/Lynch need to do NOW to get us over the hump for next year? They're obviously close.
I'm looking forward to what Kyle can do with an offseason with Purdy. We were basically running the "Jimmy G" offense with Purdy. Let's see what we can do with a playbook full of plays that Purdy likes.

Keep Purdy or Lance healthy.

The end.

So, basically invest more in the OL.

That's about it, IMO.

Fair. Anything else?

Once his 3rd QB was injured? I can agree with you there.

Expecting his backup TE to block Reddick didn't help.

Hope and pray that Brady takes a hometown discount. Scout really hard and get a really good swing tackle in Round 3 that can pass protect. And hope his run blocking is up to Kyle's high standards
