Curious as to what the approach will be to the QB situation now. Ugh
Could this season have ended any worse than it did?

the ONLY way to do it is.. let Purdy sit out the year as he heals, let Lance show case his talent and hope that he can stay healthy so that we can all find out what the future is..

OR...

Offer Lance around and see if there'll be any TAKER from teams trying to get a QB... then draft one of the talent in this year's QB class. .

AND..

We should also sign a young veteran who can actually play when needed ..

WRONG about what?

Don't fault me for believing that Shanny is just an OVERRATED HC... or better yet, how much will you continue to enjoy the yearly 2nd place trophy in the NFC??

We'll continue to beat out the very good teams like Green Bay or Dallas, THEN celebrate the 2nd Place Trophy in the Conference.

Do you think the Bills in the 90's were the best team ever? What do you think of Andy Reid?

Kyle & Jim Harbaugh accomplished the same so far, only Harbaugh was a little more consistent (3 NFCCG's in 3 years).

Andy Reid is a H.O.F coach. Look at what he's done in Conference Championships (AFC & NFC combined). Not to mention the Super Bowl.

So Kyle only has to win one SB by this logic. After that as long as he makes the playoffs nearly every year, it's all good right?

Andy is 3-6 in Conference Championship games
Andy is 1-2 in Super Bowls.
Andy Reid is in year 24. He is 1-23 in trying to win Super Bowls.

Amd fwiw : Kyle's accomplishments are little more impressive than Harbaughs because Kyle actually built his roster from the ground up as opposed to taking over a mostly ready made team.

In his time with the Eagles and Chiefs, Reid has made 18 playoff appearances total. He has coached in 36 postseason games. Only Bill Belichick and Don Shula have coached more. Reid is about to coach in his 10th conference championship game. So Kyle would not only have to win a Super Bowl he would have to consistently get his team to the conference championship 7 more times as well as get to another Super Bowl after actually winning one.

Harbaugh took over a losing team, and last I checked the GM is responsible for building the roster so Kyle didn't build the roster. Harbaugh was coming from college so he knew who to tell the GM to go get in the draft. Harbaugh was better because he did it during a strike season where the lockout prevented him from working with his team in the offseason. See how this works?
harbaugh didn't do s**t lol

Neither has Kyle...

Remember...."It's up to us to make sure we compete for and win Super Bowls, that's our only goal. We don't raise division championship banners, we don't raise NFC Championship banners. We raise Super Bowl banners."

0-6 thus far....
If that's you base for your opinion.. yeah you have no reality

Reality is he's proving to not be a finisher.

Dafuq? He got to the NFC championship game with a 3rd string QB who was a 7th round rookie. Most other coaches would have given up after it got to the second stringer. The zone man, the zone lol

Yea he also got to the SB with a starting QB and crapped the bed in the last 7 minutes. Oh and he had a 10 point lead in the NFCC game then he crapped the bed in the 4th quarter.

every year same story, different excuse. Can't wait for next years excuse. Probably something along the lines of "what did you expect from a guy that just came back from an ankle injury" or "what did you expect from a guy that just had elbow surgery" when we lose in the Divisonal or Championship game…

You're reaching so hard for someone who's deserves blame for why we haven't celebrated a Super Bowl victory in the past 4 seasons, Haven't talked about Jimmy for a month with the exception of peaking at his thread for a bit when posters claim there's no proof a dislocated arm affects a QBs play. Either way Jimmy was not relevant on what transpired yesterday, Love Purdy and everything he did. Sucks he got hurt to say the least. Too bad that's what happens when you're coached by Body bag Kyle Bananahan. Hopefully they address the right side of the OLine, but I doubt it.

It is what it is.. the fact is KYLE just can't get a break because of injuries and his stupid play calling and not knowing how to game plan..

He's going to end up having more 2nd place trophies in the history of the NFL and each one will have an excuse on its plate..

I only have one brain cell
KS is the kind of coach that is going to get all the credit when the team wins and all the blame when they lose. This is due to his success - he's set himself up to be that way by not having a superstar QB but having a strong playoff team. Is that his fault? No, but it's the reality.

That being said, he made a major mistake by not challenging that call. The moment I saw that catch live I was calling for a replay. The mechanism by which he made the catch (reaching up then having to bring it under to secure while falling on the ground chest/ball first) made it very difficult to maintain possession. KS didn't recognize this and he made the decision that a timeout/challenge was more important which is a terrible miscalculation on a play with massive game ramifications on the line. Guess what? He ended up not using any of those TOs or challenges.

He also didn't call a timeout when it was 1st and 10 at the Philly 34 after the bad punt. We got a delay of game and at 1st and 15 it took the run game away and JJ ended up not doing s**t with the ball.

I think the Devonte Smith play changed the entire game. I know this is hindsight but who knows how the game goes (Does Purdy get hurt? Does KS call the same plays at 0-0 vs 0-7? Do we win the game?) if that red flag is thrown.

We will never know what could've (or should've) happened in this game.
