49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Steve Young played the game and said that as a QB trying to win over the room, you want to 'run through a brick wall for your guys'. His words. He said this the week after the Bear game, before the Seattle game. It's a coaches job, in my mind, to coach up some self preservation for the most important assets on the club. Both those guys were first year starters with us, and trying to win over their mates and show their grit, imo. KS does have a job of grabbing em by the shoulder and saying look you are too valuable to what we are building here to take unnecessary contact, meaning contact when you can get down or out of bounds.

Brock was a lil different more a bad luck injury, hit while throwing at the exact worst spot. Football is football and there will be contact and injury. No way around it. I feel with some self preservation coached into these guys the last 5 years look a lot different.

Translation

Everything bad that happens is Kyle's fault. Unless it's Trey Lance then it's his fault.

So.what specific change needs.to be made to the scheme to cure the injury issues?

This team has 6 HOF-caliber players:
-Trent Williams
-CMC
-Deebo Samuel
-George Kittle
-Nick Bosa
-Fred Warner

This team also has at least 8 very solid players:
-Kyle Juszcyck
-Brandon Aiyuk
-Arik Armstead
-Dre Greenlaw
-Charvarius Ward
-Jimmie Ward
-Talanoa Hufanga
-Robbie Gould

But Shanahan couldn´t win the Super Bowl with this roster because he decided to block Reddick with Kroft on a long-developing play.

We can give Shanahan the most talented roster ever and he still would find a way to screw it in the biggest stage of the season. If we haven´t won the Super Bowl in the last 4 seasons it has been because of Shanahan.

Has Shanahan built a great team?......well yeah but after 6 seasons the goal isn´t about building a great team because after 6 seasons the goal is about winning the ring and Shanahan has fell short every season despite having an inmensenly talented roster.

How many current coaches would win the Super Bowl with this roster?...Belichik?...Reid?...Carroll?...Tomlin?....Harbaugh?...Payton?

We may have an even more talented roster next season if we make the right moves but at the end we will depend on Shanahan deciding to pass on a 2nd & 5 when the other team hasn´t stopped the run in the entire game or deciding to punt on 4th & 1 on the opposite 40-yd line or giving Deebo just one touch in the 4th quarter or deciding to block a top 3 pass-rusher with a terrible blocking TE on a 7-step play-action play.

6 seasons and no rings yet. Everything else is just

Play action passes involve the TE taking on a DE majority of the time. Eagles had a TE on Bosa as well at times.

Welcome to football 101.

Give him a break,....he waited throughout a generally healthy year for this conversation.

Transitioning the narrative from "team problem" to "QB problem" and "training staff" problem to "scheme problem" without anyone noticing isin't an easy thing to pull off.

Kyle Must Go !! Kyle Must Go!!

Well, unless we like watching him raise up that 2nd place Trophy !!!

Aside from Bill B every other coach you named has won 1 Super Bowl.

Every other year they have failed (Reid may win a 2nd).

It's bloody hard to win a Super Bowl - especially if you don't have the best QB of your generation (Brady, then Mahomes).
look at these freaks lol

Man we have some absolute f**king morons as fans. I just can't comprehend how confidently stupid some people are.
Kyle looks to be aging faster than his veteran roster. Boy wonder has turned into daddy wonder, and now grandpa wonder, soon to be great grandpa wonder. He looks older than Andy Reid who found the fountain of youth as the stress has been lifted because he has Patrick Mahomes. He doesn't need much on offense or defense to be consistently league MVP and annual Super Bowl participate.

Harbaugh only got 4 years.

Mooch got 5.
Seifert got 6.

The franchise cherishes mediocrity now. As long as tickets sell, 2nd place trophies are good enough.

Our fan base stupidity is starting to rival that of the Seahawks and cowboys
