When you have a big fanbase you have a larger share of idiots too. Shanahan would be the hottest HC candidate in years if the 49ers were stupid enough to let him go.

He's not the "greatest" coach coaching right now or anything,...but he'd certainly be the most sought after coach in the league. No question, IMO.

btw....how many Head Coaches (Offense and Defense) must this guy produce in the league before many of you "he's learning" guys finally take notice?

We heard that Mike really made his offense @ the beginning of this year,...and I love Mike,...but the 2nd half of the year, where did you guys go?

You just disappear for awhile and create a new narrative (he doesnt know how to protect QBs within his scheme,...and 1 play is all the evidence we need to purport this all offseason).

But yea,...Andy Reid and Bill B. are both greater coaches than him certainly due to results and tenure.

Can someone do a comparison though of how many HCs have been hired from his staff since he's been @ KC and Philly?

Then do the same for Bill while @ NE?

Given Kyle's short tenure thus far I think it'd be pretty interesting.
just need a healthy QB..

FTFY

Neither of the 2 QBs in the Super Bowl are healthy, though.

See how easily that theory was nuked?

You'd think the #1 and # 2 OL's could keep a QB healthy

It's almost like there's some luck involved

He cannot admit when he's wrong or has made a mistake. He's way too defensive. Comes off as an immature kid during his press conferences whenever someone questions him. You have to wonder if a guy with that kind of mindset has the ability to adapt and improve from criticism.

this times 1000000.

Kyles the best offensive coach wev had in 10s of years. a long time. but as we are now spending more an more time with him, an going through more an more seasons with him we are learning a very sad an dissapointing thing. it looks like he does not want to grow/update/change/evolve. listen to how he talks an then look at the decisions he makes regarding players, drafting, an even calling plays. the dude is stubborn an refuses to adapt. we have an injury problem of epidemic levels and hes so used to it he thinks its normal. ITS NOT. look at last years NFCCG. the run was getting stuffed all game, were down in the 4th quarter and HAVE TO get a first down to not send the team home for the year. what does he decide to do? run our f**king FB up the middle into the DL that was shutting us down all day. insane.

these characteristics are now costing us SBs. had he made different decisions this season, or last season in that NFCCG im confident we move on an possibly win it all. but all the little mistakes an decisions he is making are now becoming the difference makers between us advancing an us going home. how long should we put up with this in the name of "oh but look at how many YAC Yards deebo had, or look at how many RBs he produces with" ? why tf does any of the offense matter if its pretty much a guarantee to get stopped in the playoffs.

im not here to see the 49ers have a 2000 yard RB im here to see the 49ers win trophy #6 as a team. he should remain our HC for now, but every year they keep blowing our chance at that, i continue to lose more faith in their strategy an stubborn refusal to address the problems holding us back from winning it all.

His character is what makes him good as well but I wish he would change his mind on Lance being a dual threat. He is not imo but his legs can be immensely valuable when the pocket breaks down. I don't think he is good at or has the speed for design run/option plays.

Shanny's in game decision making is a concern. I think he has too much going on in terms of playcalling to have the ability to manage the game properly.

I believe he adapts and improves from analysis. He is clearly superior to his critics. I thought his comment about all four of his qb's going down was condescending. I do blame him for Lance's injury to a degree. It was only a matter of time before Lance went down.

was that a threat?

You seem to be having trouble accepting the reality that Kyle isn't going anywhere else, anytime soon so I'm just trying to help you avoid all the stress and headaches that come with living in denial.
