it's like you have no football knowledge.. the list of your choices is like bringing back tomsula lol
Insults.. calling my posts stupid
I've been watching football since the late 70's my knowledge is vast.
Let's see .I posted 1 coach who's won a Superbowl
And the other who just beat our 49ers....what's stupid about it?
I agree, it's stupid. Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan, Mike Singletary, Jim Tomsula, Chip Kelly… vs… 3 nfc champion appearances in 4 years and one superbowl appearance. There isn't a coach other than perhaps Andy Reid that can say that. Kyle doesn't play the actual game. He puts everyone in a position to win (a fact that the players keep stating over and over) and relies on them to do their job. Sometimes they don't or can't for a number of reasons. I don't post here much but your post was so bad I decided to.

Hmm. I wonder how many people said this about Andy Reid. And Bill Cowher. And Tom Coughlin. And Dick Vermeil. And John Madden. And… oh right… MIKE SHANAHAN!
Kyle Shanahan can't win the BIG GAME IMO. He gets bounced mostly in the NFC Championship Game. You have to keep your QB's healthy if you want a chance deep in the playoffs.

Kyle Shanahan on Trent Williams: "I'd be really surprised if Trent wasn't fired up in a few weeks"
Oh great. This is going to become another Alex Mack situation, huh? LOL

I don't see how it is. Mack was not the same player anymore and was pretty banged up by the end of his career.
Trent looks like he can still play at an elite level for a couple more years and isn't in constant pain.

Trent also has a MASSIVE payday coming next season which is why I think he'll give it a go for at least one more season, after that though, well the team better start making plans and preparations.

Oh, I just meant where Trent is waiting to decide his future and then they get caught with their pants down when he retires days before the season starts. Just the fact he's thinking about it should prompt the FO to start planning now...and no, Colton McKivitz is not the answer. LOL

The odds are in your favor and I certainly hope you're right!

Like Phoenix said as well, big pay day will keep him on the team one more year at least.
I'm sure 2024 off season we will target a T heavily in FA or the draft, especially since we will have our 1st round pick back.

Most likely, that's the plan. Hope that works out. We've been SPOILED going from Staley to Williams.

I think he'll be back for one more season, but should he do the unthinkable and retire, the 9ers would be wise to sign/draft as many QBs as possible just incase.

12game win streak is great.. yippee..
I want to win once we get to the playoffs not lose like Kyle constantly does. People that love and can't admit his shortcomings are Blind fans
Dmax.. I've already posted, the Shananigans will continue to be happy each time Kyle raises up that 2nd Place Trophy..
You can hear all of them yelling " WE ALMOST WON !! WE ALMOST GOT TO THE SUPER BOWL !! "
I can't imagine any of the fans that celebrate the 12 game winning streak were watching the 49ers in the 80s 90s when a 12 win record was pretty much automatic at the start of the season.
It just goes to show how far this fan base has fallen from the glory days. GEORGE SEIFERT, who coached 2 Super Bowl teams for this franchise, was fired because he couldn't overcome Green Bay. His tenure lasted from 1989-1996. STEVE MARIUCCI, who revived this franchise post Steve Young and Jerry Rice, took this team on multiple playoff runs but was fired for not winning a SB. His tenure lasted from 1997-2002.
There was a time when our head coaches were held to a standard of excellence. Anything less than a SB and you were on the hot seat. Now, we have a coach that lost a SB and two NFC Championship games and we celebrate him like he's the messiah. Can't wait to hear next year's excuse when we come up short once again…
