Super Bowl wins for head coaches aren't common.

Reid has 1, Tomlin has 1, Carroll has 1, Payton has 1, Holmgren got 1, Cowher got 1, John Harbaugh got 1 etc etc

….therefore Kyle should be forgiven for coming up short. No worries. We'll run it back next year. High probability we'll likely not make it again. Based on the law of averages there's a higher chance that we get beat in the Wild Card or Divisional round this time around.

We'll see what retread excuses the fanbase comes up with at that time. If it's Trey's team, something along the lines of it was his first full year so we shouldn't expect too much. If it's Brock, it will be that he was coming back from an injury what did we expect. If it's injuries because Kyle's scheme for some odd reason just magically gets his QBs killed with no obvious reason, the we'll play the injury card. It's like the same record played over and over…

The problem with posters here is that every time you point to a problem, the knee jerk response is always to ask for a solution. I don't know what the solution to Kyle Shanahan is. I did propose Sean Payton back a few months ago but got laughed at for proposing it. Would be funny if he somehow revives Wilson's career and makes them a legit contender in the AFC. Would be funnier still if he somehow manages to win a SB there before Kyle, would love to hear the excuses from the fan base if that ever happens.

Regardless, my point is that the first part of finding a solution is identifying the problem. It seems like 6 failed attempts at winning the SB is not enough evidence that there's a problem with the coach, and that's primarily bc said coach keeps taking us deep into the playoffs, and that apparently is good enough…
