Being "the problem" and needing to be better are 2 different things

Anyone who doesn't win the SB in a given year needs to do better the next. Belichick needs to do better next year. Walsh needed to do better in 7 of his 10 seasons. Between Sirianna and Reid one of them will need to do better next year. Tomlin and John Harbaugh have needed to do better for over a decade straight now.

Eva, she or he (not sure if Eva is the name or it stands for Ever) Kyle's #1 supporter here.. YOU couldn't name a coach right now that will make Eva and the Shananigans
agree..

The fact is, Shanny has done NOTHING but raise up that 2nd Place Trophy.... how much more 2nd Place Trophies do we need?

NFC championships appearances can't compare to winning the Paul Bunyan Axe trophy.

coaches around the league once thought the same of Jimmy Johnson when he came in the league..

who woulda thought Brady was going to be the 2nd Best QB of All Time had he not gotten his chance.

Not that anyone here can do anything about keeping or firing Shanny.. We all can just POSTS and share our opinion..

Bottom line is, no one remembers being 2nd place .. well, unless you're a fan of Shanny.
Good coach but needs to show growth or the clock is going to start ticking.

Here is what you do. KS go take a siesta. You earned it. It must be hell going through a season that starts in summer with team activity and somehow piloting it to the NFCCG on QB4. Recharge the old batteries. Let JL earn his pay, a guy who just happens to have a gold jacket, a Stanford education, a SB ring, and he turns down $15m per year tech jobs cuz he has #6 to win.

Perhaps that's your bottom line, but I'd much rather have sustained success, with a chance to win it all each year. Shanny did more this year with backup qbs than any coach you may suggest.

keep your enthusiasm though. It's sure to sway some opinions 🤣

ps: the niners organization > the rams organization, we'd all agree with that. And they just won't the super bowl last year. Your reasoning is flawed, and based on emotion

the rams weren't winning BEFORE stafford got hurt… only using the rams because they are the latest SB winners, which is what your clamoring about.

It would be nice to know which way Kyle and John are leaning when it comes to QB's next season. I'm sure the two have a plan, but they aren't about to spill it or telegraph it to fans or anyone else for that matter.

We know, now, that Brock Purdy had been on Shanahan's radar for quite some time. He was important enough to earn visits from more than a few teams, which included the 49ers. But he wasn't considered important enough to be selected in the final round of last year's NFL draft. He was viewed as a free agent pickup. Training camp fodder. Perhaps a career backup. But nothing more than that.

As of right now, at this moment, the 49ers have ZERO healthy guys at the position of QB. Trey Lance will probably be ready in a month. But, after that, who knows? Kyle indicated yesterday that there's no interest in bringing Garoppolo back. The team won't be signing Tom Brady. Shanahan doesn't seem interested in Aaron Rodgers. Derek Carr seems to be an interesting possibility, but he is going to want the best long-term deal he can get.

We all know that Shanahan and Lynch have a plan. I would just love to know what it is.

I don't think Jed has him on the clock…yet.

Coaches that go to the NFCCG two years in a row don't get anything but accolades. Some of the s**t said in these forums is outright asinine

You nailed it. BP was a revelation, but they clearly lucked into him to a extent, they never thought he would be that or they wouldn't have left him on the board so long.

Meanwhile, he is now majorly injured, and may miss a lot off the offseason. Lot of interesting names out there to add a guy to throw passes this summer.

I don't see Carr and here is why, teams that need QB will line up for the best avail QB, which will be Carr. Someone with a need and cap space will give the old 3 year $120 million which we can't afford, or they will just trade for him, probably wouldn't even need to trade much, LV wants to unload that contract.. I don't see us able to afford the Carr deal. Wouldn't mind being wrong he's a stud QB / leader.

Dude, Jed previously fired a guy that went to 3 straight NFC title games. So, um yeah, it happens lol.

This is true. As fans we were also surprised to hear the sudden "job trouble" rumors. But that only took place because of a power struggle between Baalke and Harbaugh. Plus, Harbaugh managed to somehow alienate Jed York and the entire York family. So, a lot of behind the scenes stuff took place, none of it good for Harbaugh.

I don't see a similar setup between Kyle Shanahan, John Lynch and Jed York. They all seem to get along just fine. Although, privately, Jed would have thrown the challenge flag in Philidelphia. This is according to "my sources" (I made it up).

It's not going to happen again. Jed learned his lesson the first time there.
