Do you honestly think we still had a chance with Josh Johnson at QB even if Shanahan was impossibly perfect with those in game decisions you are complaining about?
Also, are you really expecting a 4th string practice squad QB to be a starting caliber player? Was it even possible to land a starting caliber that late in the season when Jimmy went down?
At that point we didn't know if Purdy would regain feeling in his arm or not. Kyle let the game get away with his decisions. We had little chance of coming back even with Brock in the 2nd half due to bad coaching
This guy is a fortune teller. What are the winning lottery numbers for this Saturday?
Would you rather be down by 4 or down by 14? Kyle killed our odds if even with a competent QB in the 2nd half
First of all, Josh Johnson lost a shotgun snap which lead to a Philly TD and put them up by 14. 2nd, the defense gave up 7 first downs due to penalty which extended multiple eagle TD drives. You really blaming those things on Kyle?
If Brock Purdy would have stepped up into the pocket on the play which ended with him injured, we are talking a completely different ball game. One of Brock's biggest knocks going into the playoffs was him not stepping up into the pocket. It came back and bit him and the team in the ass.
if you are angry and feel like you need to take it out on someone. You should take it out on those garbage eagles fans that need a huge slice of humble pie.
The truth is, you can look at EVERY HC in the league every week and tell the t.v. screen how you would have made a better decision. You could watch the SB this week and do the same thing with both of those coaches and 1 is still going to walk away with a ring at the end of the game.
Sometimes unfortunate things happen. We have had a slew of them over the past 5 seasons and yet we have been a competitive playoff team for a majority of them. So until Shanahan has more than 2 consecutive losing seasons, he isn't going anywhere.
