He will remain our coach for the next 20 years. And within that time, I expect him to win multiple Superbowls!

A championship isn't going to happen every season. We got close, but our window is still wide open with Purdy and Lance at the wings.

Damn 20 years? At the way he's aging he will look 90 at 60

aging like a US prez

Damn he went to s**t. lol

Shanny all day! People ran Harbaugh out and now they complain they want him back. Gotta say homie aged pretty bad. He's need an elite QB to get young again

Lol. Yup its funny watching those who wanted Harbaugh out for the same things Shanny has done defend shanny. (failed to develop a qb, can't win the big game, super bowl loss, poor clock management, etc…)

I think both are good coaches. We just need patience.

I defend Kyle but I didn't want Harbaugh gone either. Yes. Fans need to be more patient. Every coach and player with this team, past or present, have nothing but high praise for the guy. Ex players coming out calling out the fanbase for even suggesting the idea of getting rid of him. That should be enough to keep the Kyle naysayers at bay. But every year around this time, they start to come out the woodwork.

More like every year around October when we are 3-5, before KS goes on a tear

That is usually the peak season for it for sure. They usually disappear during that tear and start to come back again around this time of the year. Its a sic cycle.

I don't think we start this next season off slow again. I think they know what it means to get that #1 seed and it means coming out of the gate running on all cylinders.
A big ? at QB to start the season again.. do we have enough magic to do it all over ? Odds say no

IDGAF what the odds say. What question do we have at QB? Its quite simple. We have Trey Lance and Brock Purdy. Not really question marks. We also have the #1 defense, the best 5 weapons in the NFL and an O line that will be even better than this past season. You want to be a pessimist, that is your prerogative. Nothing I have seen tells me this team is about to take a nose dive.

And when compared to the rest of the NFC, SF should be in good shape. PHI's defense has a lot of free agents. GB, LAR, TB - they're done. I think WAS might be a QB away, but that's the hard part. The Lions are on the come up. DAL should remain good. The Seahawks might make some noise but as long as their QB is Geno, not scared. NFC should be the 49ers' for the taking.

NYG have the coach of the year. But seriously if Fields can become an adequate passer the Bears with 100 mil and lots of draft picks can take a step.

When Kyle loses a SB to a vastly inferior team it will be the same.

The injuries to Justin and Aldon evened the playing field for every team we faced that postseason. The Ravens came into that game with a QB playing at a historic level and a defense playing much better than ours. If you're mad about that one, you should be just as mad about blowing a 10 point lead with less than 10 min left.

A 10 point lead against a great team is with a HOF calibur Qb is understandable. Getting trucked by a comparatively average team where you need a power outage to regroup to even get back into it is not.

9ers were 4 pt favorites vs Ravens vs 1.5 pt dogs vs KC. Not comparable.

What question do we have at QB ? Don't be naive. We still don't have a QB

There is no way to have the #1 defense for next year when next year has even started. Plus we have 12 URFA players on defense, 7 of those being starters or have started for us

25 total FA

Offensive weapons need a QB.. we all seen how this offense runs without a QB

it's not about being pessimistic, it's just looking at reality.
This is so sad, Niners history went from "we never lost a Superbowl" to "which Superbowl loss hurts more". Thanks a lot Shanny.

I get it. You are a pessimist. Its all good. I will continue to believe in this team and you can continue to doubt them. Brock Purdy showed enough to know that we have a QB. Your pessimistic mentality falsely tells you otherwise. We had the #1 defense and there really isn't any reason to believe that they are going to fall off a cliff anytime soon. Again, you can continue to doubt them without any real reason to do so. That is your prerogative.

I think 2 QBs both injured at present are legit question marks it's being realistic as he mentioned, that's all there is to it. These dudes have 9 starts between them which is like half of one regular season.. Lot of range of outcomes, good and bad, hard to say for sure what we got.

Like YAC said, pessimists gonna be pessimists.

Reality/perception is in the eye of the beholder. If all you think is negative than all you see is negative and all you experience is negative. Reality is all subjective. There is no such thing as a concrete reality. So like I said, if you choose to be a pessimist, that is your prerogative. Brock Purdy elevated Kyle's offense like we haven't seen since 2016. Dude was adapting and learning in game. If you are too blind by pessimism to see that, that is on you.

stop.. come back to reality bud. You have no idea how the future is going to unfold. so stop acting like you do.

And there is concrete reality.. example... the glass is half full and half empty... The concrete reality is that glass is not going to get filled and not going to get emptied no matter how you feel about it

Sounds like Kliff might be the OC in Texas, so we might not lose Slowik
