Here's to hoping he already hit that home run with C.J.

If only McDaniels agreed to coach here....sad but true.

If only I didn't have to see dumb posts like this

Sadly McDaniels won more games in his first season than Shanny will and Shanny has the better team.

If only the 49ers drafted Deshone Kizer.

......If only.

That first bronco team of his had 4-5 pro bowlers and included 1st team all pro Elvis Dumerveil. Not to meantion Brandon Marshall, Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins.

You could say he walked into a good situation.

Shanahan would have cut all of those players for not being happy with losing.

...That's not why Bowman was cut, but whatever

I love Shanny, he's the perfect coach for this team right now. Thank god we didn't end up with Gase.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

Dolphins have been good record wise but their offense this year has been abysmal.

Maybe, a little sarcasm - just glad we got Shanny and not Gase.

I was disappointed when we chose Tomsula over Gase.

But I am good with Shanny, regardless of what these naysayers say
As one of the resident Cassandras who has been critical of Shanahan up to now, I wish to go on the record and say that this was a Moral Victory (TM) that I feel reasonably comfortable with. Sitting Hoyer and losing to a horrendous ref call do this, although I am still hugely unhappy about how offensive to the eyes our offensive line is.

But fair's fair. This was almost (ALMOST) Not Bad. Well, almost not horribly bad. Nearly not really unacceptable. With a little luck it would have been close to not being entirely unfit for purpose.

In other words, a Moral Victory (TM TM TM TM)

Last year the team seemed to play pretty well in the first half of many games and then fell apart in the second half. This year it seems like the opposite. There are probably a lot of factors involved in that but I think the ability of the HC/OC to adapt and adjust to the defense is probably a primary factor. We may not end up with any more wins than last year, but I like seeing the team do better in the second half rather than fall apart.

If Trent Baalke were still here, Dirk Koetter could've been the head coach. lol

True, we rallied from 17-0 against Washington, we came back to tie against Indy, and also almost came back down against the Rams too. I think it's inconsistency, youth, and fundamental mistakes (penalties/drops) that are the difference between the wins and losses in the last five games. Well, and some terrible luck with bad timing of penalty calls.

I'm sorry, I'm not following. I was comparing how well the team this year plays in the second half compared to how they played last year in the second half and attributing the better second half play mostly to better coaching (better ability to adapt).

2. Matt Ryan had his worst season as a pro his first season under Shanahan. If that is because it was his first year in Shanahan's system, then that same excuse applies to this season.

If you take out Matt Ryan's rookie season and his MVP season, he's Andy Dalton (good, not great). That's who he is.

Edited post above for clarity. At work and was not paying enough attention to what I was writing, lol.

That's happened to me, too, more often than I'd like to admit.

You also have to take out the 8 straight 4k+ yard seasons.
