Riddick was in pass rush mode. A run would have at least netted some positive yardage and made him think about that, the next time that down and distance occurs. Ried averaged something like 6+ yards per carry going against that Eagle defense. I just don't get why Kyle would call a pass so soon in the game. Unless its impatience or aggressive overconfidence.

Note, I am not saying Kyle is an idiot. On the contrary he's a top flight coach. I'm very grateful he's our coach. I just think that's one of his blind spots.

Kyle called 3 runs and 2 short passes before the PA pass where Purdy gets hurt and that is too being aggressive?

Well on Andy's first drive VS Philly in the SB : 1st play was a run with Pacheco, 2nd play was a PA pass to Kelce with the backup TE picking up Reddick.

Didn't we read for 2 years how Kyle is too conservative? Now apparently he is too aggressive.

Fans are fickle as f**k. It's a proven phenomenon that the dumber you are, the more confident you are in your opinions and level of knowledge (Dunning-Krueger). All fanbases are pretty stupid, ours is not an exception. We are so incredibly lucky to have a coach like Shanahan even if every decision isn't perfect in retrospect.
As soon as it was confirmed in the eagles game that purdy injured his throwing arm, I knew at that moment that the webzone would fall into chaos for the next 2-3 months

I stopped reading at Grant Cohn. That guy never misses an opportunity for a potshot. You can make a list like this for most coaches and GM's.

I agree. Good take.

Where did you get *those* facts? that first five KC plays there were 4 runs and 1 pass.

From the actual game bud. First two plays were a run then a PA pass. Then a Mahomes scramble followed by 2 more carries for Pacheco and then the TD pass to Kelce.

But point stands.

I believe you are thinking of KC's opening drive in the 2nd half.

Don't know how many people know who Jesse Naylor is but I've been listening to his latest podcast where he has just a bunch of people randomly call into his show and talk about whatever. The reason I bring this up is because I've been hearing this thing about the "Cabo click". So all these guys calling in and talking to him on a YouTube livestream are just complete 'fire Shanahan yesterday' hacks. I understand Kyle vacations to Cabo San Lucas every damn off-season because that's where he goes so there's al these Niner fans who really aren't fans at all they just want something to b***h and moan about continuously. Anyway they're in some giant tizzy about the fact that he had invited or however it came about certain players that also went there and hung out on vacation with him except Lance. I don't even know him not being part of it is even the real issue but apparently Shanahan has all his little favorites and so he's a dick because of that. First of all there's nothing football related even happening with any of these players or Kyle and they're on their personal time so who even gives a flying f**k what the hell they're doing or who's there. BTW I'll give you three guesses who really started this complete b******t narrative and his name rhymes with bone. It's absolutely much Ado about 100% nothing IMHO. I'll give Cohn one thing he's very good at stirring people up with all kinds of dumbass conspiracy theories but it's all utter b******t.
PS: Trey is still rehabbing a very serious injury so why the hell would he be there with those other guys anyway. Makes no sense.

I wish Shanahan would come out and say, that we are NOT interested in bringing in Tom Brady. All this Brady to the 49ers talk is annoying.

The next time Jessie makes an emotion free, sound, football argument will be the first time. At least as far as I've seen... which is admittedly not a lot (by design).
