Mistakes thus far

Not drafting Watson
Choosing Hoyer over McCown

Not a good sign when the offensive genius is failing to see good QB talent.

He replaced his hand picked QB with another QB he hand picked....mistake washed.

Watson, no thanks, not in this system.

Was Shanahan familiar with Hoyer or McCown, who has experience with his playbook hmmmm.....

His offensive rankings have improved in every category, solid job by the offensive guru rookie head coach.

Mistake is not washed unless CJ turns out to be good and QB of the future

Yes I'd take watson F the system you take elite talent

Who cares if he is familer that didnt help him not suck

What is our offense ranked ?

How about we pump the brakes on Watson and lets revisit him in a few years. Come on how many times have we seen a QB come into the league, flash some awesomeness only to slowly see it fade away? Time. Sure he looks good so far. Then again he has one of the best WR's in the league, a solid D to boot. Time will tell about Watson.

Hoyer, McCown, eh, all the same. McCown will not be consistently good either, but like Hoyer, will show some flashes. Those guys are backups. Kyle didn't have many options out there in regards to finding a QB. The damn roster didn't have a single QB lol. I'm not knocking Kyle for that.

Anyone who says no to Watson right now, seriously? Come on. I don't think many thought he would perform them way he has, and I wasn't calling for the niners to draft him, but now w/ 20/20 hindsight hell yes I would want him.

Watson is playing good ball right now but its premature to crown him after 6 games of his NFL career

Agree with this one...I believe RGIII falls in that category; after his rookie season, he started going downhill (though I could see how one could make the case that the elder Shanahan messed him up). Guys like Watson and Prescott need a couple more seasons before we can elevate them to elite status.

Grant had an optimistic prediction of 9-7 this year.

RGIII was my first thought for comparison. He won Offensive Rookie of the Year if memory serves. But,

RGIII's career was effectively ended on a running play in which he suffered a massive knee injury. Watson outweighs him by at least 40 lbs. and is much smarter in his running, in my opinion.

Watson is also a more accurate passer, again in my opinion.

Most importantly, Watson has a far better head on his shoulders and no idiot father dictating his treatment of whom I'm aware.

Seems like doxxing is OK in NT as long as the person being doxxed is "negative".

NC is nothing more than a hardcore homer who sat in the Silver lining/positive thread all offseason with gumdrops and ice cream. so makes sense

Getting a first half lead would help this tremendously, but they also have really bad interior OL run blocking. Hoyer underperforming didn't help, either. We'll see what happens with Beathard. Shanahan ran a lot more in Atlanta because he got leads and he had the talent to run more. Clearly that's the long term intent.
