If by happenstance we get jimmy back as an affordable QB2, we are INSTANT super bowl favorites.

Does Kyle go with Reid in strategizing *no more fullback* and is that why he drafted TWO tight ends in this draft cycle?
Among the many changes to NFL offenses over recent decades has been the long, slow decline of the fullback position. Chiefs coach Andy Reid recognizes that.
The Chiefs let fullback Michael Burton leave for the Broncos in free agency this offseason, and Reid said the Chiefs won't be bringing in a fullback to replace him. An extra tight end would be more likely to take up the fullback's roster spot.

No. Weve just lost all positional discipline when drafting.. Thats why.
Or, for whatever reason, his best player available led him to the two Tight Ends drafted?
Do we need two tight ends if kittle is healthy and coming back. Not sure i see it.
I think they knew they wanted to upgrade TE2. From the draft results, that's what I deduced. Then, similar to how they drafted Trey Sermon and Eli Mitchell in the same draft, perhaps that drafted Latu because they gave him a high grade, then later in the draft they saw BPA with Brayden Willis so they went ahead and drafted another.
Hm.In the meantime, our starting rg graded 49, our starting rt has less than 500 career snaps, and we lost 1700 snaps on the defensive line.
Assuming hargrave at +650, +300 for armstead (i.e. he doesn't get injured), and +150 for Jackson (BE REALISTIC) we're still short a full time player.
Plus you can go ahead and -150 for Bosa because we don't want to run him 750 snaps.
But..it makes sense to go all in for an extra tight end?
And a receiver (We have the #1 or #2 receiver room in the league)?
And not take the #2 kicker in the draft and use the 3rd rounder to find a horse we like?
This is why people write nasty things about our draft discipline.

As much as I like Brock, I can't say this early that he'd be a hall of famer, there's just no way to jump that far. Even if you were to get that crazy this early, could you actually argue this soon that he'd be better than Montana and Young?
In this NFL, I feel like Joe and Steve would be lighting it up with 40+ PPG.
Option D should be Tomsula and Jimmy G.

I get what you're saying. I don't know how important TE2 could be when the team tends to use a fullback anyway. I don't know enough about the day2 prospects to say "they should have taken that guy instead". I can only assume that they think highly of Colton McKovitz to man the RT spot and a combination of Ferrel, Hyder, and Drake to take DE snaps.
