Ignore the formation but the circled part is what it looked like to me. There's some natural rub action in this but Garcon's actions show this wasnt a designed pick play.
Now, we can argue if C.J. threw to the right guy because usually in these slant-flat plays the flat is primary.
Kyle specifically addressed this at the presser....It was the last question I believe and I think it was Grant that was asking if the WR is taught to pick on a slant-flat Per usual, Kyle told him what's up. There's no pick....they are taught to run a slant. There is natural pick action in this concept but it's not a pick play....it was an absolute b******t call and it cost us an opportunity at a tying FG. FWIW, this concept is about as WCO as it gets.
Also, Kyle explained in the Slant-flat that against man the slant is the look because the flat really isn't a good route vs man.
