Yup. Absolutely do not want to watch the Jed and Paraag GM/coach hiring clown show. We struck gold here, and this is the golden age of the York era.

Kyle is so close to greatness and becoming a coaching legend, so if we Andy Reid him and some other team gets al the glory, I'm going to be pissed and scream for new ownership. This would be an unforgivable offense. This man has been one of the final 4 teams every single year that he's had a somewhat healthy roster. Give Shanny one single season where he has KC or Philly's injury luck (and it is mostly luck) and I guarantee he'll close the deal.

I hate how under appreciated he is by some of our fans. The guy is an offensive savant that everyone is trying to copy, but every year he stays ahead of the pack and continues to adjust to how defenses gameplan to stop him.

I hate saying this out loud, but I truly think this franchise is setup to be a new dynasty. It's going to be Chiefs vs 49ers for a few years if both teams stay healthy. The coaching and front office of both teams is by far the best in the NFL. The best part for us is that KC and Mahomes is in a bloodbath of a conference, and we don't have much competition outside of Philly, who I think will regress this season. If we can comfortably take the #1 seed, we can get even more rest before the playoffs begin, while KC has to battle for playoff positioning. If anyone happens to upset KC, then the superbowl will heavily be in our favor. All it takes is Kyle getting his first championship to erase all his playoff demons and go on a historic run.

Just have faith that he's close. When you're really good at your job, sooner or later you'll catch your big break. It just takes time. There are no easy paths towards coaching greatness. Most of them struggled before they finally broke through. Both the team and fans just need to show patience.

The only thing Kyle is close to is his playsheet.

Until he starts prioritizing pass protection in this scheme, I am not really seeing it. Hes coached here 6 years. 5 of them, the QB got injured. Its not just bad luck. He just doesn't prioritize it in this scheme. I'm sure there will be excuses if things go poorly again (injury "luck", etc). Honestly, if Jimmy G has a healthy season with the Raiders, its an indictment on him

I agree but problems with O line are universal in the NFL. Nearly every team has some weak spot on the line and many have complete train wrecks. There just aren't enough good linemen coming out of college. That's why guys like Trent Williams are so highly valued.
Most of the QB injuries to Jimmy and Lance have been little to do with the OL, too. Even Purdy's arm injury was on the TE not the OL.

And if Jimmy G does get hurt then it's back to bad luck?

That'll be an interesting watch. Raiders OL seemed really good. I don't know how many starters there were but they looked aggressive and both lines won the LOS. An offense he's more comfortable in with far more control. We shall see.

Not even a little. That's straight "injury prone."

Are we doing these BS takes again lol

jimmy was healthy in 2019 and 2021

his major injuries were self inflicted

Jimmy was also injured at New England, prior to being traded to the 49ers, so there is that. If you take out all the Jimmy injuries, you take out much of the QB injuries historically in general under Kyle. Hopefully that helps Kyle's QB injury statistics from here on out.

Agree, but still its a bit unusual to have four QBs go down in a single season. Hopefully Kyle adjusts his QB protections and offensive schemes, the way he's adjusted his approach from being an offensive coordinator to head coach. He's much more cognizant of QB injuries now, versus when he was just an OC. An example of Kyle changing or tweaking his offensive scheme is his running backs have gotten bigger since he lost the Superbowl in 2019.

Most teams that win superbowls prioritize protecting their qb and keeping their qb healthy. Shanahan does not.

I think it's very fair to call him injury prone either way.

I mean, I just talked about it. Idk how you can argue we don't prioritize OL. We've just sucked in our scouting in that area.

You can argue about the prioritization and show concrete facts to back it up until you are blue in the face….it wont matter lol
