I think you are mistaken. Kyle's job is to win football games and he most likely thought that Trey's legs gave the offense a better chance than Trey's processing and release in the short passing game. That doesn't mean he values running QB's over pocket passers.

My point was that Kyle will use whatever the best weapon the QB has to win a game. He would have had Fields running a lot. Fields has the same tools as Lance but Fields doesn't stare at a wide open receiver and not throw. He just misses the target when he throws 😂

Remember, according to the media schedule, Kyle isn't due to speak to the media again until after the game. Of course, that could change, but there's a possibility here that we're in the dark for a while.
