Oh, you think? That has been the thing that's pissed me off the most about these first two games. Too much McCaffrey and not enough Mason and Mitchell. I get that McCaffrey's a stud, but there's no excuse for Kyle running him as much as he has to the exclusion of everyone else. McCaffrey took a lot of pounding against the Rams, I would have much rather seen Mason in there for a handful of snaps. The whole, "well Detroit almost came back against us", canard is just a lot of BS as far as I'm concerned. It would be easy enough to substitute Mitchell and Mason in through the course of the game so that McCaffrey isn't carrying so much of the load.

Perhaps KS knows something we dont...ie ball security etc.

Can't speak to Mason too much, but it seems that Mitchell has been pretty reliable in that regard. Assuming he's healthy, which he rarely is.

I think its more an issue of when CMC checks out of the game there goes a lot of the play sheet, and KS likes having his full play sheet.

I don't know, apart from being able to line up as effectively at WR as McCaffrey, I'm not sure there isn't anything that Mitchell can't do in Kyle's offense that McCaffrey does, at least for a handful of plays a game. He runs well between the tackles, can get around the corner a little, he's hard to arm tackle, and can catch the ball out of the backfield, what else does he need to do. I saw McCaffrey blocking in the backfield on a couple of plays and it wasn't anything to write home about. I'm pretty sure Mitchell could do at least well. The first three things apply to Mason as well, though he may be the weakest receiver of the three.

Alright. If I hear one more Jimmy Club member claim that Jimmy didn't throw deep because Kyle tells him where to throw and didn't allow it, forcing him to throw short when deep guys are open, look, I might just start posting Brony memes and unironic Twilight stuff on this website.

How did you come to the conclusion this is about Jimmy? He's only an ancillary character here. The closest he comes to any importance in my comment is brainless love for him is the reason ̶4̶9̶e̶r̶s̶ Jimmy fans claimed Kyle forces the QB to ignore open deep guys. This post is defending Kyle. Jimmy has is only incidentally related.

Gonna have to respectfully disagree. Kyle had a bunch of excellent designed gimmies which worked throughout the game, and McVay couldn't figure out how to stop them. How many swing screens, quick screens and reverses does it take before you start recognizing what the opponent is doing to you and adjust? Kyle used their speed on defense against them and they never figured it out.

You can tell which coach made the better half time adjustments. The one who won.
