Well you see we're not winning by enough, or in the style some people prefer to see. 7 point road wins against division rivals in the NFL are for the birds.

I'm just thrilled we are off to a great start. 2-0, both on the road? Hell yeah.

Both our O & D need improvement, which is normal because it's week 2. Lol I'm confident they will.

whats important is that we win these games, no matter how, and keep getting better. That way we are playing our best ball down the stretch and are in position to take the 1 seed.

my biggest surprise so far has been special teams. I was super worried about them, but with Ray Ray coming back quickly and wish making awesome punts - we are in great shape. I always felt like mad leg moody would do well.

im thrilled with where we are. Kyle and his staff have done an excellent job so far, no reason to think they won't keep improving.

Stafford seemed so meh, they had one decent drive in the 2nd half.

Only you saw meh. I saw a QB executing at a very high level.

atleast for 3 quarters.

Yeah, Stafford definitely wasn't meh. Lmao he's a savvy veteran. He was very accurate and on time most of the game. We eventually started getting pressure on him and playing tighter coverages (kudos wilks).

you also typically don't win when you're throwing the ball 45+ times a game. Especially at the clip he was, statistics eventually come into play and it's not sustainable - turnovers/dropped passes etc will eventually come into play. Plus Stafford is known for his late game int.

Same.

So much Mahomes-envy in here.

KC has scored 37 points in two games and if that defense doesn't play as well as it has (30), they'd be 0-2 right now.

I expect the exponentially more talented team to have dominated this game. Yet coaching keeps these games close when they dont need to be. The only reason we won this game

1. Turnovers
2. Kyle making the right call to for it before the half (yes I give him credit)
3. Niners are more talented.

I'm sticking with this. Mcvay had his team way more ready to play than shanahan.

It wasn't a close game in the second half.

?? We were only up 7 with 5 mins left in the game and the Rams had the ball. I would say thats a close game.

They are our biggest rival and they are still a good team especially if Stafford is healthy.

Was he hurt yesterday or did he just suck?

It's funny how you can't admit you were wrong lol. Grow up

LOL at you guys saying he was great on Sunday...

61% completion rate
5 yards per completion
1 TD/2 INT
67 passer rating
0 TDs in the second half by the offense

So much high level execution, lol

They can still pull it out. Its how you end the season thats important. Same with us. Great were 2-0, but I don't want to go into the playoffs having lost two games in a row, unless we've already locked up a playoff spot.

I don't think people are envious of their start to this season. It's probably the fact that they've won 2 rings in the last 4 seasons.

Didn't say he played great, he definitely didn't suck though.

If we are talking Staffy he played well. He looks like the Stafford of old (his arm, feet, velo, etc). Lil rich talking about the INTs, one was off a dudes hands right up for a pick. The other was rightly noted on the broadcast, as I believe Jefferson running his route like a bit of an idiot. So I don't put those on Staffy, kinda like that week one pick six from Mahomes, which was a perfect pass. Jefferson has been just terrible this season, from what I am seeing.

He played damn good and the 49ers were lucky that he's got potatoes at WR.
From the Athletic regarding the overuse of CMC and Deebo:

San Francisco needs to be saying its prayers for Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel. The duo had 32 of the Niners' 45 touches Sunday. For the season, it's 66 of 98.

Kyle needs more Mitchell, Mason (to close out games), Kittle and Aiyuk. He's going to wear out CMC and Deebo at this pace.

ONE DAY.. may be ... just one day.. he may become the BEST REGULAR SEASON COACH EVER..

Still beats being the 6th best coach in the Big 10.

and Shanny would be the 7th best coach in the Big 10 had Daddy Mike did not beg around to get his son a job in the NFL via League Pass.

Lol, what's sad is you really believe he would be 7th in the B10

I have always cared about winning and stats.

He sucked badly and the stats reflected it. The Rams also lost because of his play.

60% completion rate and 5 yards per with two INTs is not good. Dude was terrible.
