What was good about 5 yards per reception, 60% completion rate, 1 TD/2 INTs in a loss?

This is when you see the old up by 5 scores, and we are going for 2

Ha. I wasn't a big Stafford guy in DET, but I was wrong. And I thought he looked very good last Sunday

A decade ago, Woo was at Costco, trying to park and although it was a busy Saturday, one of the closest spots to the store had just opened up and no other cars were in sight. A smile crossed his face, he was going to be so close, easy in and easy out of the store, no long hikes across a busy parking lot, not today. As he got closer, the anticipation grew, he was almost there but just as he was about to start pulling in towards his gifted spot, a loud screech of tires was heard, a lifted truck came hauling around the corner, streaking towards the empty spot, making a hard left to pull in front of Woo and snatching his triumphant moment from him.

As he sat there and grimaced, a tall, dark haired man popped out of the truck, wiping the sweat off his brow, adjusting his Oakleys and heading off across the lot towards the store as Woo frowned and began to swear under his breath.

That man? Matthew Stafford.

Do you disagree with my assessment of his play?
Tell me how he had a great game.

How does 2 INTs, 5 yards per catch look good?

He went Punt, INT, Punt, FG, INT, TOD, Meaningless FG in the second half.

He was the reason they lost.

If we are talking Staffy he played well. He looks like the Stafford of old (his arm, feet, velo, etc). Lil rich talking about the INTs, one was off a dudes hands right up for a pick. The other was rightly noted on the broadcast, as I believe Jefferson running his route like a bit of an idiot. So I don't put those on Staffy, kinda like that week one pick six from Mahomes, which was a perfect pass. Jefferson has been just terrible this season, from what I am seeing.

He played damn good and the 49ers were lucky that he's got potatoes at WR.

Agree, he looked good. Thank god the 49er defense was better.

Now, as good as Stafford looked, I think Brock matched him, and I think actually played much better than Matthew. (no turnovers)

He took a bunch of nobody receivers and moved the ball up and down on our defense. Gets 1 pick because his rb doesn't look ball in and another trying to make a play.

To say he lost them the game is ridiculous. That's a blowout with all but a handful of qbs.

Is this a serious question? Stafford was playing against one of if not the best defense in the NFL, with multiple first time starters at WR and OL and both of the interceptions IMO were on the receivers. The first one was right in the hands of their RB and the second one the receiver rounded off his route which allowed Lenoir to undercut the throw. Not to mention, Stafford would have had another TD if Tutu ran the correct route in the redzone.

Stafford was consistently moving the chains and keeping the 49ers offense on the sidelines. Getting the ball out very quickly which is why our defense couldn't get him to the ground.

Stafford at 17 first downs passing… 17! You can't ask your QB to do more than that.

But because it's Stafford and not Jimmy, you're highly critical.

That's the boat I'm on. Lol I didn't care for him and didn't really want him, but he's better than I expected. I still think he has some really bad flaws, particularly turnovers (he did his usual one in the NFCC but we dropped it).
