To say he lost them the game is ridiculous. That's a blowout with all but a handful of qbs.

Not to mention, Stafford would have had another TD if Tutu ran the correct route in the redzone.
Stafford was consistently moving the chains and keeping the 49ers offense on the sidelines. Getting the ball out very quickly which is why our defense couldn't get him to the ground.
Stafford at 17 first downs passing… 17! You can't ask your QB to do more than that.
But because it's Stafford and not Jimmy, you're highly critical.
2nd Half...Punt, INT, Punt, FG, INT, TOD
Brock is my guy and he was lights out by comparison.

Brock was lights out yet the 49ers punted the same amount of times in the second half and they had 2 punts in the first half when the Rams had none.
The Rams were much better on third down, and the TOD was a run play that got stuffed.
I've been as complimentary about Brock as anyone this season, but to diminish how well Stafford played is ridiculous.

All in all, I think my only major complaint at the moment is CMC's usage.
23 touches against the Rams and 25 against the Steelers is a bit much... Would hope we can get him in the 15-20 range during the regular season. Save that heavy usage for the playoffs.
Shanahan explained the substitution process today. It's just odd to me that we have both Anthony Lynn as RB coach/Assistant HC, AND Bobby Turner, RB coach. They certainly have two talented RB coaches that can communicate with Shanahan on the rotation on gameday.
Jordan Mason my understanding dressed 2 games
and has 0 offensive snaps, strictly special teams
I think we can strike a better balance here, CMC is the dude, but these other guys can have more of a gameday role so they are dialed in to what we are doing offensively, and CMC is kept a lil fresher.
I'm guessing because of how close the GSM was against the Rams, Kyle most likely wanted to put the ball In the hands of his best player as much as possible.
Hopefully we'll see more of Mason and Mitchell against the Giants.
Keep those Rbs health, Kyle.
While he should have been aware of the running back's usage, the players that go in or the substitution is on the position coach. Kyle can't micromanage every detail. Especially when discussing play calling. Even Kyle said as much
He needs a Santa's Little Helper to tell him no No noNOPO

He's still salty that Stafford is better than Jimmy

Same with challenges and timeouts. He needs to stick to gameplanning only...

5 yards per completion is not good.
The INTs were not good passes.
People are saying this isn't on Stafford?

I mean the QB in the booth broadcasting the game said it. I think he even drew a diagram explaining the reasoning behind his opinion. There's such a thing as a QB friendly route, and a route that's gonna give problems. It's a matter of opinion.
you need the right vid clip also lol, but we know which one you mean, you are talking about the Jefferson one, right?

If we are talking Staffy he played well. He looks like the Stafford of old (his arm, feet, velo, etc). Lil rich talking about the INTs, one was off a dudes hands right up for a pick. The other was rightly noted on the broadcast, as I believe Jefferson running his route like a bit of an idiot. So I don't put those on Staffy, kinda like that week one pick six from Mahomes, which was a perfect pass. Jefferson has been just terrible this season, from what I am seeing.
He played damn good and the 49ers were lucky that he's got potatoes at WR.
Until that second pick.

60% completion rate and 5 yards per with two INTs is not good. Dude was terrible.
This is why passer rating is useless. Only one of those pics were his fault. Our defense was getting carved up in the first half. He played well most of the game and then choked in the biggest moment. That's why his Total QBR was only above average (around 55).

I expect the exponentially more talented team to have dominated this game. Yet coaching keeps these games close when they dont need to be. The only reason we won this game
1. Turnovers
2. Kyle making the right call to for it before the half (yes I give him credit)
3. Niners are more talented.
I'm sticking with this. Mcvay had his team way more ready to play than shanahan.
It wasn't a close game in the second half.
?? We were only up 7 with 5 mins left in the game and the Rams had the ball. I would say thats a close game.
They are our biggest rival and they are still a good team especially if Stafford is healthy.
Was he hurt yesterday or did he just suck?
It's funny how you can't admit you were wrong lol. Grow upOriginally posted by 9ers4eva:

LOL at you guys saying he was great on Sunday...
61% completion rate
5 yards per completion
1 TD/2 INT
67 passer rating
0 TDs in the second half by the offense
So much high level execution, lol
Now you care about just the stats? 😂
Didn't say he played great, he definitely didn't suck though.
I have always cared about winning and stats.
He sucked badly and the stats reflected it. The Rams also lost because of his play.
Lmao you're so full of s**t. Just stop buddy

Well given the incredible evidence Woo provided (Geno Smith throwing an interception during the 2022 playoff game)... no, I wouldn't blame that on Stafford.
