I like the eye test

I saw 5 yards per reception.

I am just gon a have to agree to disagree with the folks here praising Stafford for having a great game against us.

What was about about is performance that you didn't actually think was good... from an individual perspective? What was he failing to do from a fundamental standpoint?

YPA, like almost every other stat is a team influenced stat. A QB can play very well and not have a strong YPA. A QB can play poorly and have a good one. This is magnified in a small sample.

The two picks hurt his ratings, even though the first pick wasn't his fault

Nobody said great. Here you again.
He played well, he definitely wasn't the reason they lost.

But I get it, you're going to hold on to Stafford is a loser and can't win the playoffs -- Jimmy >>> Stafford -- no matter f**king what dude. Just who you are

The INTs, 5 yards per reception with a 60% completion rate, the second half drives in general.

9ers4eva said he executed at a high level.

Phoenix said he played a damn good game.

Jimmy who?

Stafford lucked into a SB, I acknowledged he surpassed my expectations when they won.

I have no damn idea how you "luck" into a SB. Do you really understand football and how hard it is to win a SB? Especially being on a new team? What him and Brady did is pretty damn impressive. Idk how many other QBs go to start for a new team and win the SB.

Stafford has always been a very good QB. The Lions have been the worst organization in football for many many years and that matters a lot. Calling him a loser like you did is like calling Smith a loser bc he had Nolan/Singletary.

Same, if you know what to look for - it's usually evident.

The good thing is there's so much content available to a fan where a pro will be analyzing and explaining film... like JTO's channel for example. You don't have to know what you are looking at when someone holds your hand. But it takes a lot more effort than reading box scores or researching surface level analytics.

You cannot get a real read on play from statistics. They can point you in a direction to research further with film and that's about it.

Agree 💯%, Stats only give you a certain viewpoint on a game. To really understand what happened - you have to watch the game. Having said that, statistics do reveal hidden things you can't really see on film -- so they are very important. But *not* more important than watching film. They are both important. You really won't have a really good understanding of the game if you just do one or the other.

Shanahan, 43, has established himself as one of the top coaches in the NFL, while Sanders, 56, has quickly made his mark in his first season in the FBS ranks as coach of unbeaten Colorado

Deion is unbeaten at Colorado? Wow!

I'm hoping we can get Deion on the 49ers coaching staff if we lose either Anthony Lynn or Wilks!

Deion is a recruiter. He is perfect for college. Does he even coach? Every time I see him on the sideines he has his microphone up and is just listening to what's going on.

Yeah, I think he's a great motivator but his coaching deficiencies will catch up with him at some point.

All i know is that he's unbeaten (for now) and he was a great player for us. He's a winner wherever he's been. I think he's smart enough to learn the X's and O's. Specially if Kyle gives him those X's and O's. College is basically a recruiting game, so I'm not docking him for being good at it. I think he'd be a great defensive coordinator, if he's willing to learn be an NFL position coach first.
