Why are you pretending Chip never had success in Philly? Shanny hasn't had any success at all as a HC. Let me guess he needs an MVP QB to make it work? Wow I wonder if Chips offense would look great with the QB he needs like Mariota.

Chip may easily, easily end up having more wins than Shanny does by the time Shanny gets the boot. Keep pretending that Chip's first season as a HC was last year.

As if Shanny's complex offense is winning anything. Let me guess it only works when you have an MVP QB running it but for Chip Gabbert and a broken Kap should be used against him.

Falcons look so much better without KS as the OC, for sure his offense sucks worse than Chip's.

The read option is a fraud, period. It requires mismatches in order to work, which is why high schools and colleges run it. 90 scholarships and the teams who recruit the best win. You can't do that in the NFL. It's pretty simple if you look at it logically.

Yup because the Falcons looking like crap doesn't have anything to do with the historic post SB loss hangover!

Nope, it's the absence of Shanny.

Not to mention even if I gave you that flawed example, Shanny is the HC not an OC. His job is to win games period. He is a failure by all metrics.

Patience.

Some fans need to just take the year off.

No they got six years because they fired the last two coaches after one. Had to change the narrative. Not because its going to take six years to rebuild this team.

Its going to take a lot longer than one off season, where the HC couldn't fully address his staffing needs, and half a season. Thats for certain.

Yeah this team won't start competing for a playoff spot until at least '19. Gonna need 2 more offseasons of talent acquisition unfortunately. We have a handfull of guys that are keepers and thats it.

I heard Car's #1 offense in 15 also slipped in 16 because of Shanny. He's that d amazing.

Love how some ppl called Chip a garbage coach yet wouldn't even consider giving him more than 1 year with a by FAR worse roster and yet we should all be sooo thankfully patient with these two bozos. As if Chip got to hand select his QB and offensive weapons. LOL. Shanny is really, really bad.

Well at the very least since his first year has been such a failure so far at least if he tries next season to turn this franchise into the Washington Redskins 1.0 and fails again he'll hopefully get the boot well before the 6th season.

We coulda been the Patriots west but ended up the Redskins west.

.....you say this s**t like it's true. BAD things happens when you judge too early. McDaniels woulda been a HOFer if you judged after 6 games instead of the colossal failure he was when he didn't get to have Brady or the NE roster with him. He hand selected Tebow

Also, this roster isn't far better than last year.....in fact it lacks as many first and second round players as chip had last year. (16 to 13).

No need, I've lived through those s**tty years as a fan. Our current team is pretty bad talent wise.

Back to the Rams comparison, that is dumb to compare their situation to ours. Flip McVay with Shanny and he would be winless too. He might actually have to stand and watch when the defense is on the field.

I didn't do that though just stated how silly it is to overlook that McVay turned the 32nd o to the 1st o and pretend that he had nothing to do with that. He fixed the line, brought in all of the receivers, turned Gurley into a duel threat, developed Goff.
Gurley said publicly last year that the Rams were running a high school offense. They spent their whole freakin' draft on O-linemen a couple years back. I mean their whole draft. The Rams did absolutely nothing with it. Then, when Goff sucked so bad last year, I knew it couldn't be just him - no way.

That's because Chip runs a gimmick offense. It has fail written all over it, so his firing was rightly justified. At least Shanny has ran a real, working NFL offense. The talent on this team is still s**t, gonna take a few years to rebuild. So no, he's not really, really bad.

Chip was a Hail Mary hire by a GM sensing his end was near. Yeah he had some success in Philly, but the NFL figured him out. He should have never got the job here in SF in the first place, period.
So question to the 'Fire Shanahan crowed' if the team did what you wanted who would you like to be our coach? Oh wait nobody in their right mind would touch this franchise ever again after going with 4 coaches in 4 years

What does 2014 pick Greg Robinson who now plays for Detroit have to do with this? Who cares if they drafted some busts and some OK role players a few years back? When McVay added Whitworth and Sullivan to their line that's what stabilized it. In comparison we added Beadles who got cut. No fix our interior still sucks.

Don't you dare say chip had worse talent than this. Don't you dare. This is without a doubt the worst talent ever put on a football field. Oddly it is just in spots. Before the 32 man sweep and forget, it was worse. So kyle and john have made some headway. But if you look under the nameplates of kilgore and fusco you are going to find devey, Martin and pears. Honest , equally bad. Equally awful. But afte3r Solly, DeFo, Reuben we don't have much on D...all DBs...atrocious. Love RR. Fantastic. He's gone at end of yr, hopefully before. On O we got two OTs , Hyde, garcon. That's it. Chip had better overall. We not only need 12-16 starters, we got NO depth.

I bithced and moaned when someone said 3-4 yr rebuild. I was wrong. Dead wrong. The talent we have is limited to just a handful of guys and the rest are not good enough for subs. Ergo, no depth either. It IS going to take 3-4 yrs...the reason being we got precious little talent. And we won't know squat about CJ this yr because of fusco and kilgore. Can't believe kyle hasn't brot anyone else in . I got ideas, posted them all over. But these two? YIkes get them outta here. They are good pro football players. Just can't cut it in the NFL. Please take them out and put anyone else in. Even some guy hanging out in the wal mart parking lot. Anybody. Just not K and F. Please.

Oh, one other thing. If you got the entire DL in CJ's grill every play, you might consider moving the throwing platform to elsewhere. True you moved him on rollout options, but he cannot stay in the "POCKET" with fusco and kilgore in. Ergo, when it is time for a playcall, for heaven sakes get him out of the pocket. This pocket is a big QB sink hole, aided and abetted by any Defense.....except ours of course. Those few times when you did get him out of the pocket, he did fine. But leave him there and call a deep drop is just goofy. He gets kilt that way. MOve him around. Move him anyplace that isn't behind fusco and kilgore.
