Who would have thought they would break the longest losing streak record of all time?! I am pretty sure they certainly didn't. But, now they know they have been way underperforming below expectations. Not even Baalke, Tomsula and Kelly could break the record, that's saying something, isn't it?

This Eagles game is a guaranteed loss and we would be lucky if we didn't get blown out of the water like last week.

I believe the record streak is starting the season 0-8, no 49er team has ever started that poorly

What were people realistically expecting this season? I thought our ceiling was 6-10.

Enough with this hot take b******t, everyone knew deep down this team was gonna suck at least the first year. I'm not expecting this team to be consistently competitive until year 3. That roster was that bad at the end of last year.

Does it suck? Of course it does, but expecting or even hoping that the team was just gonna hit the ground running with so much of the roster turned over, all new coaches, and new systems on both sides of the ball was completely foolish. Real life doesn't work like Madden. Shanahan and Lynch can't just press some buttons, plug a bunch of guys in and immediately turn this into a playoff team. So they should be fired, right?

A lot of people losing their minds. We're 0-7 let people vent. If people are still complaining after we sign Cousins, spend some $ that's when you can get angry. Not everyone is an optimist.

On Monday, a day after his team fell to 0-7, head coach Kyle Shanahan suggested the 49ers wouldn't lose sight of their long-term rebuilding plan to chase largely meaningless victories this season.

"We're just not trying to win enough games to make it look acceptable," Shanahan said. "We're trying to build an organization, build it from the bottom to the top the right way, so we can have sustainable success."
