There's a separate thread for blowing leaf.

I must've missed it lol

I prefer Kyle but I definitely disagree with this.

And one significant difference is Harbaugh did not have personnel control here while Kyle does. Kyle can honestly thank Jim and the f**ked up years that followed his tenure here for that.
control doesn't have anything to do with what the coaches do when they have that player already

i also don't believe Harb had no control of who played on his team

He had no control. That's not to say he didn't have input and that Baalke and CO. wouldn't have made specific decisions based on it. No doubt that happened, early at least. Think the whole relationship went south because Harb wanted control (rightly). It's arguably his biggest strength as demonstrated throughout his career. He's a team and staff builder. Those are good qualities.

If Harbs was so damn good we would've found a way to make it work somehow.....

Instead we suffered losing to the Giants, came woefully prepared against Baltimore, and had Seattle kick our ass every time we weren't in Candlestick.

So for all these guys who keep saying, KYLE CAN'T WIN THE BIG ONE...........let me tell you.........Harbaugh needed 1000x more to go RIGHT to win the big one.

And maybe Harbaugh didn't have the QB......

But neither did Kyle.....

Until now.
They both had the QB of their choosing, and Kyle had a 10 point lead with around 8 minutes to go and the ball vs the Chiefs that's an awfully strong position to be in and lose the game.

Huh? Jimmy was Lynch's choice and talked Kyle into it. That's been well documented. Kyle had to approve obviously but it's not like Kyle was the one who said give me Jimmy. And two years later he was already flirting with multiple other QBs.
The fact that he had to approve the trade made it his decision and equates to him saying give me Jimmy regardless of how he came to that decision.
that is not the same as "choosing their QBs"
It absolutely is he had a choice and he made said choice pretty simple.
a choice and choosing from a variety options are not the same at all
Choice- an act of selecting or making a decision
when faced with two or more possibilities.
now do Choose
Are you not capable?
oh i am, you purposely left it off. it's all good though
I didn't leave anything off,if you had a point to make you'd make it instead of saying it's all good.

Lol you are making this too complicated.

If I'm at a restaurant and idk what to do order, and the waiter tells me, our "XYZ is good and its a good value ($$$)" I might say let's do it.

But that doesn't mean I actually chose that meal. It was offered to me, sounded pretty good, and I agreed to it. I didn't go in there and say, I want a Hamburger w/cheese (Kirk Cousins)

Does this make sense lol?
That doesn't mean you actually chose the meal? You can't be serious how do you not get that saying let's do it is making a choice I really hope your messing with me.

no control would mean he couldn't even give input.. but it looks like Harb made the decision to move up to get Kaep

idk i don't care about the control, i just know one coach can build a team and one coach couldn't at the time

im glad kyle has some sort of eye finding WRs...unlike trent baalke you bum how do you still have a job

Had Harbs had personnel control with his buddy Mike Lombardi I don't think there would've been any improvement whatsoever in team construction.

Who knows. I think it's safe to say based on Harbs behavior he doesn't draft AJ Jenkins and LMJ, lol.

The most important thing is it likely removes the franchise damaging conflict that happened in reality.

It was never going to happen regardless.

Does draft Kap and Vance McDonald however. I'm still dubious on his ability to pick offensive players.

Also I remember Lombardi on Bill Simmons podcast talking about what he would've done day 1. Trade for Brian Hoyer. Not an Alex Smith guy but I don't think 2011 happens with Brian Hoyer.

I personally like the Kaep pick. He was a high 2nd rounder with dual threat talent, and we got a return. Kaep's trajectory could have been different even as a limited QB.

I certainly wouldn't have loved trading for Hoyer, lol.

Kap was fine as a 2nd rounder. Was more a comment on which guys he got say in and others.

For him to succeed in the NFL going forward he needs a real OC who understands how to call a pass game and a personnel guy with a real eye for talent. If he's able to check his ego and empower guys to do both those roles I think he can succeed. If he doesn't then I don't like his chances, especially if he doesn't walk into the stacked Chargers.

His offensive staff here was pretty awful too.

I liked Harb's grit but Shanahan is a much better coach, now let's hope they *both* win the big one.

X's and O's are definitely more for Kyle than Jim. But both are, in my view, have very similar offensive and defensive philosophies.
