Their overall philosophies are similar - physical, run game oriented, defensive first teams. The major difference is their offense - Kyle is innovative and creative. Harbaughs offense is like 1980 but with more shifts. Lol

Instead we suffered losing to the Giants, came woefully prepared against Baltimore, and had Seattle kick our ass every time we weren't in Candlestick.

So for all these guys who keep saying, KYLE CAN'T WIN THE BIG ONE...........let me tell you.........Harbaugh needed 1000x more to go RIGHT to win the big one.

And maybe Harbaugh didn't have the QB......

But neither did Kyle.....

Until now.

To put this in perspective, the 9ers were 1.5 point underdogs to the Chiefs. 9ers were 4.5 point favorites vs the Ravens.

The Shanny Niners were a powerful team, nearly/should've won, and didn't only because of 1 player on the other side.

Baltimore overachieved in their Super Bowl somewhat.....defensively they stymied the Niners more than they should have early on (I'd put that blame more on Jim Harbaugh).

When Niner fans on here worry so much about our defense s**tting the bed and the offense having to score 40+......THIS was that worst case scenario......zero pressure, I'm not sure Flacco was touched once the entire game. Blame that on injuries I guess, nothing one could do.

I think Harbaugh is a good coach, but definitely needs the coordinators. Fangio ran all his defenses, and once Roman's running game was slowed down and passing concepts simplified, we had nothing.

Harbaugh also last coached in the NFL when defenses could have a real effect in the game. Now, his offense would need to do a lot more than before....

A few teams with big time QBs like Allen and Herbert could be options that work for him

I heard a couple of suggestions that Washington could be a destination for Harbaugh. New ownership looking to make a splash. They have the most cap space of any team. They have some decent players already. It would put Jim in close proximity to his brother which would be convenient for the families. It's only about a 40 mile drive. They value family a lot.
Say goodbye to the gum chewing at SEA games.

Kyle can draw plays and call players better than anyone. That is his biggest strength. I feel like Jim can do a lot of small things really well to increase the chance of winning. He just knows how to win.

He's a lot like Parcells. Just needs to check his ego on offense and find an elite passing game guy. If he can do that he will be more successful the 2nd time around.

Parcells coached teams that walloped Joe Montana and the Bill Walsh 49ers. Harbaugh was en route to suffering a historical blowout in the SB before G̶o̶o̶d̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶a̶d̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶c̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶h̶u̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶o̶w̶e̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶f̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶d̶i̶u̶m̶ the lights went out mysteriously.

I've always thought the lights thing was overblown, it helped the Ravens as well.

The thing I hated about that SB was Ravens, similarly to the Chiefs, were one of the most penalized teams in the NFL. I remember them calling an offsides on Brooks, and I think Suggs did the exact same thing and wasn't called for it.

Multiple holds on the kick return for a touchdown yet no call, and they call our oline for a ticky tack holding call.

The worst was the play when Ravens Harbaugh told all of his special teams to hold everyone so the punter could run around and waste time on the clock,

The Ravens had literally 10 players holding and it took the refs so long to throw the flag. I lost it at that moment.

Not to mention I could have sworn Goodell wore a Ravens hat during the SB. Maybe I was seeing things but its well known he's a Ravens fan.
