Cousins will be 30 to start the season next year, an age where a vast majority of QBs are beginning to decline. By the time the team is ready to compete Cousins could be in steep decline. Cousins is probably in the top 3rd of all starters.

People will be happy when the team is stable and gets back to winning.

That's also a good point, Donnie. I'm really torn on Cousins, hope whatever happens it ends up good.

The cool thing about groundhogs day is embracing or being content/rolling with the outcome no?..lol. Coming on the zone to talk 49ers football is like going to a bar and catching a buzz while watching sports...Its something youre supposed to enjoy not be bitter the 49ers arent playoff contenders and the hot bartender didnt give you her number just cause you tipped her fat lol.

People are goign to complain that the team is terrible team until it is not terrible. That seems fair. I understand how nonconstructive criticism can be frustrating and I can see how the trolling could get annoying.

When someone points out that the 49ers have the lowest payroll in the NFL and it is reflected in the roster you tell them to get off the forum and take those comments to Twitter.

You lost me with the lapdance analogy but I am not mad at anyone's positivity. I was calling BS on the notion that ATT just wants to talk 49er football because if he did, he would be open to talking about the negative aspects of 49er football and not get bent when others talk about the negative aspects of 49er football. Dude argued with me earlier for saying the Rooney's are a model ownership group (and the Yorks are the anti-Rooney's) because of the Rooney's long track record of stability with coaches and their consistent winning. He called me a liar when I replied to a comment noting the 49ers 39 penalties, I wrote : "Most in the NFL" and he said I made that up.
If pointing out that the 49ers have a lot of penalties and that they lead the league in penalties isn't "talking 49ers football" what is?

yes. i see a team that can barely score and is near the bottom in some many categories but near the top in penalities but yet i get lectured that we are so much better on offense due to our scheme. well it did not work and were told it was cuz hoyer was crap,. so we put in cj whom so many people breathlessly predicted would have these amazing stats and lead us to a win over the cowboys. when that did not work. now its. well he is young and learning. keep moving that goal post boys and good luck in trying to find a place where it will stay in place. kind of like how our worthless dc moves players around hoping something will work

Here's a dozen QBs I'd rather have than Cousins if it weren't for age/future consideration (in no particular order):
Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, Carr, Wentz, Newton, Ryan, Alex, Dak, Brees, Watson, Wilson

There's more I think are on the bubble/too soon to tell. As people on the above list drop off from age (Brady, Ben, Brees), more younguns/future younguns will come through.
Sure, Cousins throws for a lot of yards. Did you watch him the last two weeks? Fellas, that's him. That's what you get. That's why he's 30 and he's got one backed-into-the-division-on-a-down-year-for-the-Giants-and Cowboys division title with one and done in the playoffs. Big deal.

You wouldn't be hearing so much if we weren't so HOMEY earlier. Go look at how we blamed all our problems on everyone outgoing. Nothing but Rosiness. We were incredibly outraged that Vegas set us at 4.5 wins. Outraged. Shanahan will scheme us to 6 wins easy.
