Most have moved on and just want to talk 49ers Football

You wouldn't be hearing so much if we weren't so HOMEY earlier. Go look at how we blamed all our problems on everyone outgoing. Nothing but Rosiness. We were incredibly outraged that Vegas set us at 4.5 wins. Outraged. Shanahan will scheme us to 6 wins easy.

I got so annoyed with it all and thought it wrong, I bet the UNDER. Dummy me.

I chose 9 wins , but I always hope for the best. At this point we can see what is needed. The scheme is there but the players are not

Season is over anyways. So why s**t on people who want to talk on some little things that seem positive

people got nuts and started bill walsh and 1979 and 2011 comparisons right off the bat so that jazz posters tell me that no one had high hopes before the year started. is crap cuz they were out there and they did do that.. they have only themselves to blame and now they have the nerve to bristle when we dare attempt to hold kyle accountable for the poor play mistakes and like sunday not being ready to play the game. that is inexcusable and he should not get a pass on that.

Not get a pass on, is Kyle here to talk to? Lol

How are you holding KS accountable here?
For me, Kyle's one job this yr is to decide if CJ is the man or not. If so, then we don't bust a gut trying to nail down Cuzins, and can spend the entire FA and draft trying to nail down :

OG 2
C
ER 2
ILB
OLB
#1 WR
Developmental QB
DL 2 ? Sheesh, I hope not.

And then the impossible biggie...22 legit backups

If CJ is deemed not to be the FR QB, then we are in the rat race for the FR QB also, plus we have to spend all sorts of time snd energy courting Cuzins. Man i hope and pray it is CJ.

We are playing with back ups now, now it's about finding guys above them. Foundation is close to being done

The team as a whole. We have some starters but the backups outweigh them from a team perspective

Nice back to back posts. BUT, i hope this includes FA and draft. For example you dont NEED.... #1 WR, 2 pass rushers,ILB(assuming Frost stays put) and 2 guards.

Its early... One thing i do know NOW.

1 LEGIT pass rusher, a WR that can push Goodwin down the depth chart and a legit CB that could push DJ down the depth chart would be my main targets in FA to then fill out rest of roster with the draft. BUT, again, depending on draft positioning can determine how we approach FA.

We're so talent depleted that i'm not even sure where to start... but as noted this is both FA and draft. And this is for right now. My hope would be that we "find" some of these guys already on the team. I am not convinced we have much in the line of backups...e.g., does anyone have even a remote hope that Kilgore or fusco would be legit backups? I would hope not. Laken. I hope so...and he might just be able to be coached up into a starter. RR? A backup? No thank you. I'd rather try elsewhere. Dontae? He is legit backup...with time, good coaching, maybe a starter. 2DLs? Jeez, I hope not, but we'll have to see, who ends up where at yrs end. Maybe we have all our DLs AND backups. ERs? Oops need a pair there, but sure...I'd gladly take one...and so on, down the line.

It is more than blatantly obvious we need first and foremost OG and C. STARTERS.
Did I hear correctly that some peeps are asking KS to be fired? Already? No. This. Must. Stop. Now.

I don't think anyone has said something that stupid in here.

Yet.

Maybe jumping at shadows. It will get let louder next week after we get run over. Just have to avoid too much noise and keep saying to myself over and over "We are rebuilding and we should lose every game until we develop our rookies and replace everyone else with champions!"

I agree. I usually stay out of NT during the game. Especially if we are getting blown out.

I always thought it would be a three to five year rebuild. I still do.

Here's a dozen QBs I'd rather have than Cousins if it weren't for age/future consideration (in no particular order):
Brady, Rodgers, Big Ben, Carr, Wentz, Newton, Ryan, Alex, Dak, Brees, Watson, Wilson

There's more I think are on the bubble/too soon to tell. As people on the above list drop off from age (Brady, Ben, Brees), more younguns/future younguns will come through.
Sure, Cousins throws for a lot of yards. Did you watch him the last two weeks? Fellas, that's him. That's what you get. That's why he's 30 and he's got one backed-into-the-division-on-a-down-year-for-the-Giants-and Cowboys division title with one and done in the playoffs. Big deal.

No thanks on Cam, Big Ben, and even Ryan who is very mediocre even with one of the best WRs in the league to throw to. Watson is having a great year but he's not a dropback QB which is what we are looking for in this offense. I'll take Cousins over what we could potentially get in the draft this year as well.
