I do think we have a major WR depth issue, look at GB with Melton, Wicks, Reed, Watson, Doubs. That's the GB 5.

We have BA, Deebo, JJ, and it falls off a cliff. Ray Ray sucks. To the point I saw on the broadcast, Purdy seemed to mouth 'what the heck are you doing' at him. Then Ray Ray was no longer out there that I saw, it was Conley, who is better at WR than Ray Ray, but still you shouldn't be throwing to Conley with the season on the line. I don't want to see anymore Ray Ray at WR.

again how many teams have more than 3 reliable WR i think the list ends at GB

It doesn't end at GB, that's nonsense imo. Most teams play with 3 WRs. If you have one injured, then you need that WR4 to play and step up. Ray Ray is maybe the most garbage WR4 in the NFL. He's not a WR he's a return man.

I can't believe how people complain about Kyle's record of not being able to win when trailing in the 4th quarter then gripe about the play calling when he does.

Neither team came close to sniffing 30 points either... So obviously throwing the ball 40 times in the rain was not the best strategy. I would not employ that even if I had prime Brady or Rodgers as my QB. it's just stupid...

You'd be crying just the same had love not choked away getting a field goal with a minute plus left. The end of the game was managed horribly as well as the end of the first half.

Purdy bailed him out is the difference this year. Jimmy would have choked that game away and shanahan would have been 0-31 instead of 1-31 when trailing 5+.

Also you ignore the fact that you have the rushing leader on your team along with another back also averaging over 5 yards a carry yet he still had the QB throw it 40 times...

Nobody does this but shanahan...

My question is WHYYYY did you scheme in those last 90 seconds for one deep shot that didn't pan out ? Why not methodically play your offense and try and score to finish the half. Why does he always do this ? Did it in the SB, did it agains last night !

He's so f**king scared of his shadow

I liked the move. Purdy's play in the 3rd quarter backed up the decision.

The only thing I did not like was the blocked kick. Without that we probably added 3 points.

Situational football is what it is. "What ifs" will always reign supreme in a fan's mind,....but Purdy wasnt throwing the ball well around that time and it wasnt worth the risk when the fg was right there for the taking.

this is a i see both sides situation

i get people wanting to be aggressive but Packers also had 3 TO and the worry is you give them enough time to get an FG. On the flip side you are already up get a FG and then get the ball in the 3rd Q

Yes. "Be aggressive!! Be aggressive!!"

Easy ish for fans to say. Me as a coach? Sure,...I'll be aggressive with my good QB when the ball is not soggy and he can actually GRIP it for a change.

There were a number of throws that were downright ugly, and it was directly correlated to the rain and his small hand size.

There are many more aggressive coaches that are out of the profession tho. So they are out there, if that's all you want, and cancel out common sense.

When you have 3 TOs, 1.5 minutes, and you are past the opponent's 50….you don't have to be aggressive. You just play your offense. This wasn't a 75 yard drive where fans are complaining that we should be uber aggressive and take deep shots. This is a 45 yard drive with a good 90 seconds. Don't take the shots. Set up a screen. Some underneath check routes. Get closer so that if you really want to kick a FG in rainy conditions, your so-so kicker has a realistic shot.

but that wasn't the game plan. Kyle sat on it with no intention to keep the drive going. He pussies out, no need to defend that…

Totally agree with you 100%.

Someone needs to question his philosophy and make him explain the thought process.

It's fun to watch them have no answer to that question though.

to the kicker i mean he has a leg that kick was blocked (i think it was a 48-yarder?) he made a 52 yarder later

I'm not going to sit here and say its a good or bad move for what he did i see both sides. If we were up by more than 1 point (not a FG difference) or down by more than a FG i think he goes more aggressive.

imagine firing a coach that makes a deep playoff run 4 times in past 5 years it would be different if its was 1 an done seasons then i get the argument

Literally every team. Ray Ray caught 12 balls this year, Conley had 3, Bell had 6. Kalif Raymond had like 35. He's behind St Brown, Reynolds and J Williams. Tampa has Evans, Godwin, Gage, and Gage is hurt so stepping in is Trey Palmer he had the long TD last week. Palmer is way beyond Ray Ray.

Id hire belichick but hey we can pass on the best coach of all time the same way we passed on Brady...

Even Caroll if he got a good offensive coordinator...

We have to wait for shanahan to get punked by Andy Reid or harbaugh though first and lose in the SB to a team with less talent again for it to be considered...

That is if we can survive the juggernaut that is jarred goff and the lions...haha

Honestly I'd trade shanahan for picks. Just like a bunch of posters here the media darlings think he's a genius too. We could probably get 2 first round picks for him.

He's just good enough for you to lose...

The Packers were stopping the run for much of the game. CMC had a couple of big runs but he was getting stuffed a lot. Both coaches were passing the ball more than running. I guess you think they're both dumb. There wasn't much wind so passing in the rain isn't that big a deal. There were some drops by the receivers but there were also drops by the Packer defenders. There were slips by 49er defenders that left Packer receivers wide open including one TD.

You say nobody does this but Shanahan. It looked like the Packers were doing about the same thing even though their RB was having more success. If Love hadn't made that poor decision at the end of the game he would have ended up with about the same number of passes as Purdy.

Oh and by the way, he handed the bsll off to CMC when they were in the red zone.

SHANAHAN SHOILD BE FIRED. THE GUY CANT COACH. HES AN IDIOT AND A TOTAL LIABILITY.

There is no way that game should have been that close. They were unprepared. His gameplan sucked, and if the excuse was that deebo's injury threw a wrench in his game plan, then the moron doesn't know how to adjust. He passes way too much, his balls are the size of tic tacs during the two minute drill, and the team is undisciplined. He hired Wilks who is doing a s**tty job. He had three weeks to prepare for this garbage, and his qb didn't even know if he wanted to wear a glove or not. His equipment manager sucks as the players were slipping all over the field. There is no way in hell this team beats any of the three remaining afc teams with Shanahan as the coach. Everything has to be 100% perfect for him.

The glove situation and the cleats shouldn't have been decisions decided during the game.

They were not prepared and that's on boy genius.
