We played that as if we weren't going to get the first down when we should have been confident we would (as we did). Once we converted we had no time to do anything serious other than take a shot and/or settle for 3.

That's because he has little trust in the defense. Makes me think Wilks is out no matter what.

Interesting take, who takes his place then?

Dude needs to grow a set, the play calling and clock management was p***y play before the half.

If we play the Lions they're gonna do the opposite of what kyle did.

he already exclaimed he wasn't trying to go for the field goal. they called deep shots for the end zone but the Packers took a lot of the deep stuff away.

Don't need to go for deep shots if you have 3 time outs.

Thats weak. Any competent defense is going to try and take away the deep stuff in that situation. Also didn't we have timeouts?

tell you what, you guys go watch and listen to his exact words for yourself.

the objective wasn't to settle for a FG attempt. it was to score a TD. he confirmed this.
If his objective was to score a TD he went about it in a piss poor maner

Kyle does this every time. Has nothing to do with Wilks.
He needs to understand that the priority for an offense is to score points. If a scoring opportunity presents itself seize the opportunity UNLESS you're at games end trying to seal the deal
I hate when teams burn time before the 2 minute warning. I really hate it when my team does it especially if the game is close. At the end of the day that whole end of the 2nd qtr was for not

He also has the highest playoff win percentage of all time without winning a chip 😭 hopefully this is the year!

i love Kyle. I think we will look back at the Green Bay game and realize that Green Bay just was a really good team who peaked and we won.

alot of it is luck to

2019: we lost flat out (yes you can blame refs, Jimmy etc) but we lost
2021: We were injured AF. Played the rams with Trent Williams having a high ankle sprain Jimmy playing with a shoulder that needed surgery and even then we almost made the SB if Tartt caught the int
2022: All our QBs being injured

It take luck and skill to make the SB (coaching and players) we have been very unlucky with injuries skill/coaching hasn't really been a problem

This is the year the curse lifts and luck falls our way!

It'll be us vs Buffalo in the big dance! cant wait.

Hopefully we didn't use it all up last night!

eff no! I think in hindsight, we will look back and realize that GB was the second best team in the NFC and we just got them early. I respect the lions but they coulnd't handle GB on thanksgiving.

If we just play a cleaner game, we should handle these guys. I think GB just peaked and was the scariest team going into the playoffs (NFC Bracket). we didn't play our best and handled them still.

I like this take. We won't need luck next week. We'll make our own destiny.

I agree with this. I said it before they are probably playing better than either Detroit or Tampa right now.

Also the rain was the great equalizer. Most of their big plays or lack of ours were from guys slipping. The infuriating part about that was it's our own field and gb didn't seem to have this issue. That's an equipment/coaching staff gripe i guess?

So in reality I think we had a great opportunity to beat them bigger, but we mostly beat ourselves. They def won in the trenches most of the game but in the 4th we did enough to win. I expect them to be a regular opponent the next 5 years. They look very good.

This is championship football time. We will get everyone's best shot. We were very fortunate to win since we certainly didn't play up to our standards. Kyle better bring his A++ game from now on. He had me screaming at my tv before half time.
I second the motion!

I too think Green Bay was way better than their 7th seed. They beat a Cowboy team loaded with some All-pros. Great point about the equipment managers not doing their due diligence on the field. HOpe Deebo can play this next Sunday! Hope hope! 🙏🙏🙏

Shanny, your daddy is #TheFuture
I still love Kyle. Aside from a few play calls that I was like wth was that he did pretty good after having to adjust to not having Deebo like 9 plays in. We scored 24 pts and thats with us playing one of the most inconsistent games we've played all year offensively. To put some perspective on it KC and Buffalo tonight only scored 27/24 pts. That being said I hope Kyle learns from this and becomes even greater the next week.
well at least Kyle will be able to gamelan preemptively around not having Deebo available, potentially.

I love him too, but damn if I ran into him at the deli I would let him know how much he's aged me because sometimes he's just off.

I for sure think he needs to adjust how they do offensive substitutions on game days. I feel like the offense would benefit from seeing Mitchell and mason some more while giving cmc the breather etc.

Since he has a Swiss Army knife like deebo and cmc he needs to cross train them better so if one is injured the other can flip. Or certainly draft guys who can better emulate deebo etc. twice now they were out of sorts the moment deebo was down. He admitted it, but he has to revise his gameplans with this in mind etc.
This will be our 4th nfccg appearance In the last 5 years with Shanny That's pretty Impressive.

Did this game inspire any confidence that we have any chance against any of the coaches in the afc?

This is the easiest cakewalk schedule and we almost dropped it to the 9-8 crap packers...

I had such a high hopes this could be our year and now I am fairly certain we have no shot even with superior talent, a bye, and not having to play the last game of the season.

The Packers are much better than their #7 seed and overall record. They were up and coming at the end of the year. Much better lately than the overall record shows.

Yeah, depending on how this next game or two go, it might be apparent they are legit.

That and the damn f**king rain........I am far from a pessimistic Niner fan, I'm always half glass full all the damn time, but believe me, I'm taking the underdog for points against the 49ers regardless of where it's played, even against Carolina or whomever is lowest ranked team in the league....

My buddy texted me before the game asking if they would cover, and I immediately said yes....that was the playoff confidence vibe in me.

But now, no more.

Maybe in the end this was a good thing......win the hardest game possible, and now with raised stakes, we're better prepared.

Believe me, it sucks hearing all this crap about the Niners should've lost.......#7 seed, all this hater crap..........yet when Philly, KC, Baltimore (against Rams) escape wins, nobody says a f**king word they got lucky.

But bottom line is hoisting the Lombardi.

Just need to win this game healthy and playing well with confidence.....maybe ideal spread here is 10-14 points. A blowout would be cool, but would that make the team overconfident for the Bowl? LOL...

JUST WIN.....any spread :)
