Plan B should be to start targeting Kittle who can't be be covered, Ayik down the field on play action specially and keep running the ball with CMC and swinging him the ball in the open field. Kyle needs to instill this into Purdy's brain. Let's go fellas it's right there for the taking. Dry ball this week vs Detroit!

If the game plan vs the Packers was designed to heavily feature Deebo, it isn't all that simple to just make adjustments when he goes down. At least a weeks worth of scouting, designing and practicing can't just be thrown out the window and started anew. I'm not sure how many adjustments can actually be made to each gameplan, but certainly not that much.

Pretty much this. Purdy even noted that Deebo was supposed to be heavily involved in this game including the run game. Pretty sure Kyle was planning about a week and a half ago with Deebo in mind. Then to have Deebo out early in the game, it isn't as easy as just putting some random wr in and everything will be all dandy.

Understand that. The issue is that it's not the first time. If you put all your eggs in one basket then your just setting up yourself to.not succeed. My belief is that as good as Shanahan is he is a stubborn dude and if he wants to be great he'll need to adapt quickly when this happens. Something is off, it's either that or maybe Purdy is not seasoned enough to make the adjustment.

Whatever it is you have three other weapons Pro Bowlers and All Pros to make it go, CMC, Kittle, Aiyuk.
Both coaches struggled to get points against susceptible defenses.

I strongly believe if the gameplan was not have purdy throw 39 times and love throw 34 times in the rain and slop both teams would have scored 30+ running the ball.

They are both from the same coaching tree though so it's not surprising...

Yep all those teams apparently have Terrific QBs while we have just some guy named Purdy.

Coach of the year never makes sense. He should have won it in 2019 I believe but Harbaugh won it cause he won games with a QB who no one believed in. Then last year when Kyle won with a QB no one believed in they gave it to the first year coach for making a first round QB look mid as f**k. This year Kyle has continued to win with the QB no one believes in. I do think Meco has earned this award but the NFL owes Kyle two coach of the year awards.
