That's a lot of talent to only have 7 points in 1st half

He does enough to win games but not get the team over the hump.
Something big needs to happen.

Kyle Shanahan single handedly sucked the life out of his team by sending out Moody on that first drive.
His coaching philosophy has run its course and the faithful deserves better.
1-3 in Conference Championships. Unacceptable.

This would be a major decision. But...
What about bringing in Belichick to get this team over the top? McDaniels is good enough as an OC.
Belichick isn't squandering ten point leads in SB's or having an elite team come out like this.
Load up and go all in for next season.

4 issues
1. wrong DC
2. No run defense.
3. Oline sucks outside TW and mostly ignored under his watch.
4. Has not managed a comeback offense at all. worh some bad called games at times.
hopefully we get miracle second half.

No way they consider it.
Jed would take alot of criticism. Especially after 2014-2016.
But I would do it

I'm hoping for a comeback, but I tempered my expectations for this game beforehand. They've been flat and sputtering ie poor tackling etc. since the Ravens game and did little to nothing week after week. Just repeated PR excuses from everyone that it's going to get fixed blah blah blah, but itwas going to catch up eventually. I think they peaked way too season this season. There are no excuses this time. I think Kyle is a good playcaller, but I have serious questions of him as an overall HC. He sure as hell needs to stop pretending to be a GM. The stupid games he's played with all those draft picks have finally caught up. They're now a top-heavy team with poor depth, once someone like even Deebo or even Jauan goes down they start to falter. Wasting 3rd rounders in the latest draft class on a 3rd round project TE, bad rookie kicker, while neglecting the OL. The same pattern over and over. We invested so much capital on the DL which is fine, but then hiring a worn out retread to DC just negates it. Good chunk of the NFC are getting younger and are closing in fast. Kyle and the team can still win it all......IF big changes happen and certain approaches improve.

The thing I worry about with Shanahan: is he actually a great head coach, a leader of men or is he simply just a genius play caller and play designer, basically a super OC on steroids? Big games like this make me think it's the latter. It's just inexcusable to not have this team ready to play and motivated in a game like this and unlike last year, there's literally zero excuses for it.

He didn't even consider doing his due-diligance on Mahomes, who may be on his way to creating a dynasty, despite Lynch's advice in favor of just waiting on Cousins....Chose JG over Brady.... He wasted 3 picks on Lance.... QB evaluation is tough, but his decision-making on the position doesn't inspire confidence at this point
