is it the HC Dan Campbell OR the hot shot OC Ben Johnson? The guy who's gotten all the credit for everything offensively this yr? Up a ton of points then blows the biggest lead in NFCC history.

cause I haven't heard ONE person put any blame on Johnson today. Zero.

If our score stays the same in the end and they stopped going for it on 4th and kicked FG's like most HC's would....we go home.

who gets the blame for their epic collapse? That's what I'm asking. The HC or the OC?

28-3 in the SB is very different from 24-7 in this game where turnovers and dumb 4th down decisions made the comeback quick. Kyle could have literally chosen to just run the ball on every snap and helped Atlanta win that SB. Brady needed Kyle's Offense to help him out in that historic collapse. What's worse is Atlanta was snapping the ball with time on the clock left in the 4th quarter of that game....and not just 1-2 sec but 10-15....those are calls of the OC.
Like Steve Young in 94, is this Superbowl the "Monkey Off Your Back" game for Kyle?

Doesn't seem like anyone, media doesn't want to place blame on the Lions anymore than give the Niners credit. They chalk it up to luck.

Nah all I'm hearing is Campbell pressed his luck too much this AM. Had opportunities to put points on the board and his bravado got in the way.

also they were running the all at will vs SF. At one point RBs were getting 6 yards before contact! They ran the ball 7xs in the second half lol.

I haven't heard one person put any sort of blame on Johnson or their DC for giving up 27 points in the second half.

Good, we usually do not do well the media is stroking the team. Let them ignore them and or fee disrespected so they can focus on their jobs lol

Well to Johnson's defense his WRs dropped 2-3 passes that would have extended drives and the Gibbs fumble swung the momentum to us. I wouldn't blame Johnson at all honestly. His offense feasted on our defense.

They've been aggressive all year but at some point aggression will come back in bite you and unfortunately for them their 1st Super Bowl birth was on the line.

The OC doesn't tell the QB when to snap the ball.

IT will take his best gameplan and execution.

I am not "scared" of the Chiefs. - They are beatable.

Mahomes is a force to be reckoned with and can make things happen out of nothing.

9ers O can score.
Can the D hold the line?

OH b******t it is….it was the biggest game in lions history! It was the biggest comeback in a divisional championship ever.

Dan and Co could have literally ran the ball all second half and won the game. They were getting 6.3 yards per carry. At one point they were getting 6 yards before contact! 24-10 run the ball (11mins into the 3rd), then kick a FG go up 3 scores.

They ran the ball 7 times in the second half! Didn't put points on the board when they had a damn good opportunity to do just that.

Pretending it was different is showing you can't admit to being wrong about blaming a SB on a OC. Head coach makes the decisions, if he doesn't then he's not the head coach.

In the 2nd half their receivers, with the possible exception of Amon-Ra, were very disappointing. For them, obviously not for us! To start with I was blaming Goff but, whilst he wasn't razor sharp, he deserved better from them.

I don't blame the OC either. Same s**t as Kyle in ATL. Coach can tell the OC to run the damn ball, not the other way around. They decided not too. They decided to go for it on all those 4th downs, instead of kicking FGs….and if their Kicker is allergic to kicking FGs outside, that's their damn fault for cutting a guy that was more than good and not replacing him with a capable kicker for a playoff run.

But but but…you didn't know it was actually Kyle playing QB lol?

The MVP of the league s**t his pants when he was suppose to be the MVP. Quinn is the HC he's the final decision maker on everything.

People just wanted to blame kyle, for whatever issue they have with him. Bunch of hypocrites. Not a single Johnson blew the game from those same folks this AM.

I have confidence in our offense, but my question is whether we will have another slow start. Chiefs have a good defense, capable of making it difficult on our running game, and if we end up in a 2 score hole at halftime like against the Lions, I'd be very afraid. Mahomes/Reid can lead the Chiefs to putting the game away by the 3rd quarter with that kind of lead.

The dynamics of that Atlanta team and these lions is different. Detroit is clearly a team that funnels everything through the HC. That Atlanta team had given Kyle control of the offense exclusively, and perhaps even more so after they set the league on fire on offense and Dan Quinn clearly was running the D. Kyle clearly looked flustered in his play calling against NE who had figured out his scheme by that second half. I mean they were literally in FG position to win the game and instead of running the ball and inching closer to that FG and running out the clock he called passing plays that stopped the clock and forced his team into a punt that gave Brady that opportunity to win the game.

Again b******t.

please show me where Dan Quinn has zero say in the offense or couldn't over rule Kyle on anything??

OH so Dan Quinn was running the defense huh? That defense who blew the biggest lead in SB history? That one? The one that gave up over 500 yards of offense lol. Not a peep about that.

lions could have continued to run the ball over all over SF. We ALL watched the game yesterday. Instead they ran the ball 7 times in the second half.

They had a chance to go up 3 score with a makable FG. They had another chance to kick another makable FG to tie the game. Instead they f**ked it up.

Dan Campbell s**t as s**t isn't the play caller on either end….YET he's getting ALL the blame…hmmm wonder why? Because he's the f**king HC. Same s**t with Pete Carrol blowing the SB. He doesn't call plays either way BUT no one blamed their OC for throwing the ball at the 3 yard line.

There isn't an objective debate to be made. Yet here you are lol
