49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Like Steve Young, Kyle needs to get this Monkey off his back.

Ideally up 10 entering the 4th and we win by 31
It will be a lot closer than that.

Kyle may need to pull out a trick play or two

I'm not sure it takes Shanahan too long to make adjustments, although he did say that after talking to Quality Control at halftime on Sunday v the Detroit Lions , he decided to stop worrying about the scheme and just get the ball into the hands of his best players. That worked.

I only feel good with a 3 score lead entering the 4th

Is this Quality Control a real thing or just a playful thing here?

I'll never understand the "we are going to lose" mentality. It's not over till it's over. This team has driven all of us nuts at different point and times this year but they're in the big dance. We are Uber talented, and when we play our best ball - we are nearly unstoppable.

After the last two games of what we've witnessed, you should realize that no matter how bleak it seems - we have a chance.

i think we will win. It'll be insanely difficult but I think we finally have the qb to Will us there

Yup, we definitely have the QB to do it, and in some odd weird insane way.........I think the two big comebacks back to back were absolutely needed to set the stage.

Had we dominated these two teams the way we expected like they were Dallas/Philly, a possibility we could've been caught bad had things gone awry (like another Ravens type game).

Now, if we come out powerful, it's almost a guarantee in my mind we win the game. Even less than powerful we can still win, but man, if the Niners even begin to click the way they're known to, we will win this game the way you'd imagine we would have won it 8 weeks ago after blowing out the Eagles.
I see no reason why Kyle shouldn't empty out the playbook with getting the ball in playmaker's hands.

We should still run a solid game plan and do the usual scripting to see how KC is playing us, but nothing wrong with inundating them with plays to have to deal with in the moment.

I want Kyle to coach this game like he has to save his kidnapped family from dying!!!!
I wonder if Kyle can scheme up a few shot plays deep to get behind them.

Purdy hitting a bomb in the Super Bowl would be electric like no other offensive play could be.

A massive f**k you to KC, the haters, etc.

Get that running game going and work off of it.

add in some quick passes to slow down any DL schemes/stunts/batted balls
add in some screens

try to keep them off balanced

The offense has looked best this season when they have come out firing. Even vs Baltimore they were passing the ball great until the got to the goal and Brock threw that pick.

Can you share the whole quote please and thanks?
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan was so confident his team would win the NFC Championship that he told general manager John Lynch before the game that he'd 'see him on stage' for the postgame celebrations.

San Francisco went on to overcome a 17-point deficit in the second half of the game to defeat the Detroit Lions and set up a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Shanahan's conversation with Lynch was caught by 'Inside the NFL' microphones and began with the GM noting that the game would be 'some fun'.

In response, the coach said: 'Oh yeah,' before adding: 'See you on stage, man.'

Lynch then laughs out loud and says, 'I like it, I like it.'
