Interesting, I always thought Griese was the one that contacted, but it was actually Kyle that reached out. Good thinking Kyle

Agree, I thought Mike Shanahan had a role in Griese's hire. But credit to Kyle for tapping into some great coaching talent. He's grown a lot since 2017. He knows he'll have to replace all his coaches sooner or later.

NO MORE EXCUSES in this Super Bowl.. we are the better team... we have the better talent... and this KC team is so weak I expect us to win by at least 20 points..

only the RAIN will keep this game close..

How are they weak? It's by far their best defense they've had and run game. Sure their passing game is weaker but overall they are a complete team. Only nainmoonz will call a SB team weak

Yeah their defense is as good as its been in a long time. Offense still has Mahomes and Kelce and WGAF about the rest.

Is it? Seems like they played a lot of low scoring games against crappy competition and paper tigers (Miami, Philly, Baltimore when they abandon the run etc).
Lots of respect for all of John's and Kyle's hard work. Let's get this done for the players, coaches, organization and most importantly, the Niner Empire.

Only he could say the Niners would be a surefire win and criticize Kyle non stop, as if the two could exist simultaneously here, LOL....
For the first time in Kyle's tenure, the offense has to carries the defense sometimes. Pretty obvious the way they've played in the playoffs that they played laxed and the offense had to carry them. As a long time niner fan, I think that lions game woke them up on what's at stake. I think the defense steps up and we come out swinging like we did against the eagles! Let's hope the refs don't give a few freebies to kc like they do!
For SF to have a chance, kyle would need to do the opposite of what KC prepared for!!! Where you fail to meet your expectations, you fell to your level of preparation!! No moody FG misses. No KC tds, only FGs, esp early!!!No turnovers, none!! Stop the run, stop the run, lol lol mahomes, will pick you apart, over playing the run, forgetting to cover kelce!! Greenlaw needs to pop the KC weapons really good!! Wear them down early!! Loads of hard contact. Attrition may be relevant, close game, but I'm seeing this open up mid third quarter. There's a pattern to losers and Kyle is predictable, Reid, has never lost in this Kyle, style, vs SF.
Super Bowl coach rematches is favored for Andy Reid. Knoll vs Landry (PIT 2-0) , Johnson vs Levy (Dal 2-0), Coughlin vs Belichick(NYG 2-0), Reid vs Kyle (KC 1-0)

If they are settling for fg attempts, chances are the game won't be close enough for Moody to truly matter. Redzone trips need to =TD's.

No turnovers is key. This has me very concerned. Can't give Mahomes extra possessions. If the run is working, don't go to the pass. Run until KC stops you. Running also decreases the chances of a turnover. Running=Mahomes on bench. If CMC gets 100 yards, they will win.

Not only do I think the D needs to keep KC from scoring TD's. They need to get at least two turnovers imo. Preferably, a pick six or fumble recovery score. Even a TO that puts the offense in outstanding field position. The problem is Mahomes just hasn't turned it over these playoffs.

This is the biggest game of Shanahan's coaching career. I don't think that is an understatement. He has alot of doubters out there and this season, fair or not, means nothing without that Lombardi.

The fact that Reid is near perfect off a bye scares me the most. Had this game occurred one week after the Detroit game, I like the 49ers chances better. Reid has an extra week to prepare. There is one HC that has Reid's number in critical games-Belichick.

I guess you could say 2019 was close. When it became obvious we had no chance of winning, the D just gave up and let that KC RB end the game.

Otherwise.....I don't like the results. Shanahan got beat bad in 18 and 22. Even got beat bad in 2016 as Falcons OC.

Now, is some of that talent, injuries, or luck? Idk. Just win this Sunday. Don't care if it's 10-7 or 60-54. Just win.
There's no doubt in my mind that if Kyle can just get the first one out of the way on Sunday, it'll snowball into 2 or 3 to finish out this decade. He just needs to get the first damn one out of the way.

The way BP is on the rook deal, we have a, dare I say, repeat or threepeat window on this roster. When the QB is making 900k that's a game changer. On ability he would make more like 50m.
