I'm sure this has been discussed in this thread but it bears repeating. Kyle tends to play VERY conservative in big games. In order to win this game, we need to open it up and take shots. If he plans on handing the ball off to CMC over and over and over, Chiefs will load the box and run blitz all day long.

He needs to be aggressive and trust Brock to deliver. If he calls a conservative game, it plays right into what KC does well ie win those 21-14 type games.

But can Kyle role the dice or does he sit on his hands?

I don't understand the narrative on Kyle. Some people say he's too conservative or "tight" in big games....others say he gets too cute (not running the ball). What is it? Nobody can get the damn narrative straight.

Well he's 8-3 in the playoffs, so he must be doing something right when it comes to winning big games.

Also… in none of those losses did we have Brock for more than a quarter

Kyle is obviously a great coach. You don't have the success the 49ers have without him. He's also built a work culture wherein a lot of assistants are being trained up and poached away by other organizations. All good things.

Andy Reid was Kyle Shanahan many years ago. It took him until he had arguably the best QB ever to break the label. Win or lose, Kyle is a great coach. If he wins, yes, he'll finally be able to shed a label but it won't change the fact he's a great coach.

I share your attitude on the subject. I actually feel less anxious about this game than I usually do ( I'm not sure why, I'm usually a nervous fan lol). Whatever happens I'm going to reserve final judgement until Kyle's time here is done. Regardless of the outcome, I think we have a fair shot at making a run again next year as well. After next year Brock's contract will need to be renegotiated, and how long we remain competitive will depend on how well we draft. If we hit on 4-6 contributors a year we should be good for a while, if not there may be a steady decline.

I'm the same, I want this so badly, but I won't go on a rant to fire Kyle if we lose.

As for Purdy & the team, we'll be fine, Brock's salary won't be high until like 2027-2028, the first 3yrs will be small-ish cap numbers like Bosa's deal.
Its time Kyle. Prove that you're a HOF coach or Show the haters that you're a choker.

LETS FUKEN GO KYLE!

Time to be Daddy Kyle

The genius will prove himself tonight!
Hope this guy is aggressive as f**k tonight and we build a 28-3 lead. And then hopefully he knows what to do now.

This time, he has CMC. Zero excuse to not run the football.

Good one. If 28-3 happens, I hope he tries to win 49-3.

If 28-3 happens, expect Romo to start peeing his pants with excitement. Twitter (X) goes wild.

1994 team was a much more dominate team. They steamrolled everyone. No one could stop that offense.

Plus our defense in 94 was a lot more dominate than this year. We had a shutdown corner in Deion.

The Eagles stopped that offense

Those numbers don't look correct. The 1994 team scored 505 points during the regular season.
