He's now famous for three super chokes the first one being the all time choke in nfl history.

He's young. Keep him here and become the next Andy Reid *HERE* rather than elsewhere.

Or he could be stuck in purgatory forever. Getting close but never there.

I'd rather keep going with guy who's young, hungry and has shown he's willing to adjust his strategies as the league changes. You knock at the door over and over and the ball will likely bounce your way eventually. Reid is proof of this. Shanahan went up against Mahomes twice and lost. This time as narrowly as possible. Mahomes will be considered the greatest QB of all time when he retires.

The grass is usually far less green on the other side.
If Mahomes was actually difference maker in either of those games you'd have a point but he wasn't.

Mahomes and Jones won those games, IMO. Made the key plays.
we can never upgrade him and he has a great mind but its always something

tired of it

He is right, they have by far a better coach than we do. Reid had them ready.

f**king get out of here. They won in OT after our all pro rb fumbled points away and a ball bounced off the back of a players leg on a punt. We had opportunities but that was one play in either direction and either team could have won.

Their coach is 3-0 in the SB. Ours 0-3 if you count Atlanta's SB when he was the OC. The dude is a choker. Accept it

The OT basically saying sure thing Mahomes you can have the final possession and an extra down on it seems like a tactical blunder at the most critical time
KC ended up using that 4th down, the Mahomes run
we could have had 4 downs for our offense to match the KC TD

Definitely thought we should have kicked.

I simply don't think Shanny knew the new rule. I admit that I didn't. He literally handed Mahomes the opportunity to hear us, instead of the other way around. Inexcusable...

The fact that any of you come to his aid is laughable to me.

At best we will be worse next year and then have to pay purdy after.

The team has not drafted well at all in 22-23 so expect a regression....

See you in 10 years when the next regime takes over.

Thanks for squandering purdys best team ever to completely choke from the coaching side...

Darn you're leaving for 10 years? Ok see ya

Dudes not wrong. We had better players on each side of the ball. And lost. I'm enjoying have "successful" seasons with shanahan, and I acknowledge that we'll probably not find a better coach. At the same time, the reality is a SB isn't coming to this organization with him at the helm. History says we won't make it back, his personal history says we wouldn't win it if we did.

If all that is true, it makes sense to move on.

im not advocating that. Just the common sense solution

It's flat out stupid.

It's not. I want my coach confident in his team they will score a TD. Then if the D gives up a TD you have the ball with sudden death implications. It's stupid to not understand this concept

Plus by the end of OT our defence was out on their feet, that should have been Kansas Citys defence out on their feet.

It is actually right though

We should have deferred the OT kick off

Defense was gassed. I'm sure that's why we wanted the ball.

What matters is what happens in crunch time. All those plays happened with plenty of time left on the clock. When it mattered most, our coach shat the bed with his 3rd and 4 play calling

why does reid get 17 years to win won but Kyle only gets 7?

makes no sense.

I'd bet on Harbaugh winning the sb before kyle too, but that's probably easy money.

Not with Mahomes in his division/conference.

Harbs is the perfect Coach to give Andy and the Chiefs fits.

They will pound the ball..keep Pat off the field..and get him impatient.....and Harbs will get Herbert to protect the ball and hit big plays when needed.

Yup, especially after they sign Barkely or Henry

Harbaugh will challenge him, but I don't see Harbaugh beating Reid, anymore than he beat Urban Meyer when he was at Ohio State. It would be nice however because I don't see a HC/QB combination that can stop Reid/Mahommes.

At this point I've been too invested and the losses are too crushing...

I'm over shanahan.

Brock would be in the next Brady conversation if he had a different coach. Instead now we get to live with mahomes for the next 15 years mostly due to shanahans inadequacies.

Mahomes ain't Montana or Brady but shanahan just wants to keep propping him up so.

Let me know how you think Brock was outplayed though this game and I'll listen. Taking the ball from him on second down with single coverage and then not letting him try on fourth down was criminal to me...

That's typical bonehead shanahan though along with the 6 passes in a row in the third quarter...

Most coaches probably would try to run the ball with the lead though... Not shanahan.
