I get more and more frustrated when thinking about those 3rd and 4's. Brock didn't even throw an INT so there's no major error there to gripe about. The muffed punt and CMC's first drive fumble are tangible moments to be pissed about, but that's why coaching is so important. This game could very well go down as one of the tightest contests ever. Was it the greatest SB or best game ever? Probably not. But you could argue that thing could have gone either way at any moment and neither team, coaching staff, or fanbase felt in control. We just putzed it away and didn't get the positive result.

Exactly..the play calling was atrocious imo. You got the best RB in the league and you don't run it??? On 3rd and f-g 4? As soon as they chose to throw..I knew it was a mistake and my hope of winning went down to like 20%. This felt like Kap/Gore 2.0 when the ball should have been ran in. I am not comparing Brock to Kap..I think Brock is better. Just the ridiculous call to throw..when you have the best damn RB in the league. It even kinda looked like the same play as the Kap/Gore bs, iirc. It's so incredibly stupid..I just think to myself..it's gotta be rigged. Cause it's so so so stupid. STUPID. You don't think CMC is hungry enough to run that s**t in? Cause I do. Makes no sense. And I hate Shanny in SBs, I really do..he just sucks when it's the big game. Sorry but he does. It's f-ng moronic not to run it. Let's just fling it against Jones..brilliant idea. NOT lol. Sorry but this is how I see it. This was stupid as heck. And they defo needed a touchdown, defo. Not a question. They don't run it and settle for a fg? Handing KC a win. Total bs. Beyond frustrated with Shanny and this league right now. Lolol.

The DC hire from within wasn't their first choice, but may have been plan B / contingency plan

At least he's been around the NFL for a long time and on the staff for a few years
