49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

it's actually quite pathetic, but refreshing to know there are real analysts out there (both 49ers and non 49ers) that can state the obvious without bias.

Its actually not that many people, a solid handful or two on these forums that will talk down to anyone when you question Kyle.

While you know I do not think he should be fired I also said the reality is he may have missed his chances and that's that. Obviously there are many key points in the game that added up to the loss, but I stand by my opinion taking the ball first in OT was a strategic mistake.

Purdy is who gives me hope, but after this season the roster is pretty much going to be overhauled so...we shall see.

It's sad to say, but this truly is the last year with this group of players. Basically we used up half a decade with a great core of guys with nothing to show for it (some will argue that all those wins in the regular season were the best thing ever). I blame coaching for not getting us over the hump. Can't keep using the Jimmy excuse eg player x cost us the SB. I don't think Shanahan will win one here. He's maxed out, and at some point likely 2 years from now he'll be out and the spin here will be ridiculous.

I'll just say that I would never blindly follow any coach. I know Kyle isn't perfect, and he has his issues, just like every other coach in the league. Despite the super bowl losses, I'm enjoying the Shanahan Era. It's been over 20 years of losing but for two winning era's, Harbaugh and Shanahan. I'd rather watch my team march through the playoffs than go 6-11. We're in the middle of a Super Bowl run, whether you like it or not. We're on the cusp, and Kyle built this team from nothing so he deserves to see it through. There are times to run your coach out of town, and times to support your team, and now is the time to support the team. We are close. Give Kyle credit for what he's built.

I think Kyle wins one in the next two seasons, and if he does.... DrEll... YOU DO NOT GET TO CELEBRATE. Remember that.
sometimes your obsessive and endlessly repetitive posts are entertaining, in a sad, pathetic way; so keep up your weird crusade of negativity and criticism. It gives all of us something to argue about in the off season I suppose, and it can be fun to laugh at your takes. No celebrating for you though. You have to sit in the corner and watch.

I suppose the bolded is true if you consider the SB as the only measure of success. I don't, because I remember the Kelly/tomsula years so vividly.

kyle has his weaknesses. Obviously. I just don't think it's reasonable to ditch the perennial second-place coach in search of the perennial first-place coach. Will likely end up with another Kelly/tomsula era.

you seem pretty convicted in your opinion, and I don't care to try to change it. Just stating mine.

maybe Kyle will win one here, maybe he won't. His chances are much higher than his statistically-likely replacement

also worth noting that the "great core of players" you reference are all Kyle guys. I wonder how one reaches the conclusion that a coach who's built a good roster couldn't continue to build a good roster.

Future Hall of Fame QB entering his first offseason as the starter.

Things are looking good good for the future.

I think we have a star. If you have a QB that good you always have a chance. Now give him that o line and let him cook!

There is at least one poster hoping Jimmy beats the 9ers as the Rams QB. It's insane.

The idea of a "Kyle fan club" is hilarious. No it's a group of fans who want to win a SB and realize Kyle is the best way forward for that vs guys who were either Jimmy stans and aren't over the team moving on coupled with his failure in Vegas or just anti Kyle people who want to blame him for everything. Even if Kyle wins one it won't matter to that 2nd group because "he blew two others".

Purdy much
Purdy gives me hope....( But more hope if he had better pass blocking like why can't he just block Chris Jones by himself and do it all! )
