Neither was any other team apparently…KC moved all way up 27th I believe. Mahomes could have been had by anyone. It's not like he one the 1st overall pick and no one had a shot at him.

Mahomes went 10th.

And Solomon Thomas was 3rd.... lol.

It took me forever to get over it but I am at peace now thst they drafted a stud.

Yes from your pseudo name you remember what a great 9er organization was. We used to pull off really good picks and at least try to fill holes. Hope we do well in the 5th lol. However someone posted we don't have Peters anymore.

Pearsall is undersized? He outweighs Worthy by 25 pounds

Hahaha. Worthy has bad hands, gets knocked over by a gust of wind and was one of the worst deep threats in this draft last yr…even with his speed (QB played a part in that as well). His body type is littered with failures (BMI) in the NFL.

Ricky has great hands, supreme route running ability and isn't afraid to make catches in traffic. Dude is the same size as guys like Adam Thielen/Juedy/lamb lol. Let's not get it twisted his QB was awful as well at Florida.

should have been taken at like 40 instead? Sure…anyone b***hing about him as a player clearly didn't watch him play.

we need guys that can separate. Go watch KC/Browns games.

Not shocked with who's crying in this thread…same guys.

Players that are projected late 1st or early 2nd round picks aren't that different in talent . The feeling is after the top 15 the talent is much more equal. Teams that pick late are always on the bubble whether to reach for a projected 2nd rounder or risk the chance that he won't be there when their turn comes up again. I have no problem with this pick given the Niners WR situation. I wanted a tackle, CB or even a center but the best players at those positions were off the board.

Oh god get over yourself man.

Yes this front office has been horrible in the draft lately that's why we're a bottom feeder franchise right now right?

Guess what happens when you have a good team? It's hard to grab players who become instant starters. This idea that we were going to grab a plug and play player at 31 was always dumb.

You can argue they could've gotten better value at another position but we have no idea how things shake out. If Pearsall turns into a Cooper Kupp type of player in this scheme and the "better value" guys end up being busts or mid level players then what?

Aiyuk is in a tough contract negotiation right now. Deebo has injury concerns and a big time contract on the books and is only signed for 2 more seasons. JJ is playing on a one year deal. Nobody should be upset at the team trying to make sure Brock has guys around him. I'm sure we all want to see the OL improved but let's at least see how the rest of the draft plays out and then wait to see how the players actually look on the field before crying about it?
Offensive line might not be a bad idea sometime in the draft.

His posts are silly, he says we got blown out, yet it came down to the final plays of the game.

28-6 before the power outage.

Power outage wasn't needed. Moved the ball on them before the power outage. 28-3 happened to Kyle without any power outage

lol I know I'm late to this but you're trolling right?

Did you just compare a 28-3 lead as the OC to a 28-6 deficit as a HC?

And moving the ball...

We had 224 total yards on 7 drives. That's 32 yards per drive. We were really sticking it to them!

That team was known for offense, it was Kyles team and Kyles call that lost it for them. The rest of the sports world agrees. Only blind 9er homers disagree that 28-3 isn't mainly on Kyle

And we didn't play clean against Ravens which is why the yards per drive look bad, but they did move the ball when they didn't shoot themselves in the foot
Folks who want Kyle gone and to hire BB. He had Ricky 41st on his big board

Not needed. It didn't matter during FA. It won't matter in the draft. Boy genius has McKivitz along with Bartch, Dartch, and Fartch.

We're set just need some more WRs and RBs to fill those bleacher seats.

BB sucked at drafting though

Yep, Pats went to 9 Super Bowls in 18 years in spite of BB's drafting.

No wonder so many hate Kyle - your standards are completely unreasonable science fiction.

i see what you are saying it went a lil sideways on him toward the end there, however, he did draft a dynasty that lasted 2 decades. he has drafted more than his fair share. knows the game maybe as well as anyone on the planet

Exactly, BB had his share of misses, but he had a few hits, too.

Regarding his drafting, that second part of the dynasty may be more impressive, because he built those rosters. Whereas when he arrived in New England he already had a great foundation on defense and a lot of the pieces there, before adding to the roster and turning them into a dynasty.

Even if they drafted an o lineman in the 1st round KS wouldn't play him much if at all his rookie season. The startling o line is already set fellas. They are going to run these dudes back. Whoever they draft would takeover 2 years from now. Just like they drafted a WR who won't really contribute a ton until 2 years from now unless there is an injury. If this guy was BPA on there board at #31 then that's an issue.

Quest for six with no end in sight

Where was that 'quest for six' before Kyle and Lynch got here? There's been enough of this nonsense of Kyle can't judge talent. He and Lynch completely revamped the roster their first year and look at what they accomplished. A roster that the rest of the league's fans would love to have. Is that all luck? ShanaLynch has been a good fit in SF. There is no reason to think that's going to change. Glad we have them on our team.
