Why did you pick 2000 and not 1990 or all time? Also what does out record in SBs going back to 2000 have to do with Kyle?

Go touch some grass kid.

we are doing our best to try to impersonate them bills losing 4 straight super bowls.

No. Our record is better than all of the teams that didn't reach a Superbowl during that period. It is also better than teams who lost Superbowls (without winning one) as we qualified for more than them.
This is like a sick game the NFL is playing on us. We were the best team in the NFL Harbaugh first three seasons and no chip. Now twice we've lost to KC despite having the better team

Im hoping we get that sixth real soon to wash away all these misses

If you're talking about the Cowboys calling them an all time team is a reach. They were a good team. Overall the run we had that season is probably actually easier especially when you remember that today's rules favor offense heavy teams and GB and Detroit were both elite level offenses towards the end of the season. KC and their defense along with Mahomes and Andy Reid are miles ahead of the Chargers squad we got to tee off on that season.

And yes Steve is right, it was all there for the taking for us. We got to the big dance and looked like we were very healthy. Obviously some injuries weren't revealed at the time like AA's issue and Kittle's core injury and you add Greenlaw/Feliciano injuries in the game both proving to be absolutely critical in a close game.

That's what happens though. Best you hope for is you get into the SB as healthy as possible and give it your best but it's not always how it goes. That's why elite teams with HOF QBs can still lose in a 1 game playoff - Pats in 2007 and Chiefs in 2020.

So people taking Steve's comments as a knock on Shanahan is stupid. He's just stating the obvious.

That DAL team 4 peats if we don't beat them. That's as all time as it gets.

Yeah Deion Sanders had nothing to do with them winning in 95.

You sure do love to play in hypotheticals...

The Buffalo Bills comparisons are so embarrassingly dumb.

Now losing to Joe Flacco was rough...why I get super annoyed by the Harbaugh worship by some of the same people hating on Shanahan.

But the Bills lost to Jeff Hostetler and Mark Rypien. The two times they actually played a good team with solid QB play they got curb stomped.

They are not comparable.

Flacco beat HOF QBs and BB on the way to the SB. Are those guys embarrassments? Hottest team in the league is usually who wins. 2007 Giants got hot and beat the Patriots. Another thing is we lost because of the Smith injuries, our offense was amazing in the playoffs and SB

It balances out. 1.000 winning percentage prior to year 2000, zero percent after. I'm sure the cap had something to do with it. You should read AB81's posts. They are pure gold about that stuff.

20 straight playoff appearances prior to 2000 - only five 🏆 to show for it. That's like a 20% winning percentage - as another way to look at it.

Our offense scored 6 points in the first half, hardly amazing.

And Flacco beating HOF QBs doesn't move the needle for me. The guy is a better QB than Hostetler and Rypien for sure but we were the better team across the board.

They played the Pats without Gronk, a key part of their offense and a weak running game and a Pats team with a defense that was far from their top standard.
They had a great game vs Manning's Broncos and got incredibly lucky at the Broncos defense doing a HORRIBLE job of misplaying the bomb he threw to Jones to tie it up and got gifted by that HOF QB several times including the pick in OT to set them up for the win.

Stop making excuses for that SB loss. We were just as hot if not more so going into that game after the big comeback win over #1 seed in Atlanta. We had the better OL, better DL and virtually an advantage in every position group save maybe WR and safety.

Ravens played us without a pass rush, but you don't mention that for Harbs. We weren't as hot as the Ravens, our defense sucked for weeks heading into the SB. We had close to 500 yards in the SB. First team with two 100 yard receivers and a 100 yard RB in the SB. More points than Kyle has ever scored in the SB. Against a defense that beat multiple HOF QBs. How is that not amazing? I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying that team was much better than you give them credit for. They beat Manning and he got 2 KRs from his STs that game
The 2019 Chiefs beat the 2012 Ravens by double digits 9 out of 10 times. This past KC Chiefs would beat then albeit by less. To keep pretending the worst SB winner of this century was some world beater is hilarious.

Also the 2012 49ers offense was great simply because of Kapernick. Was the same offense that couldn't convert a 3rd down the year before in the big moments. No one could figure out Kap and he took advantage on 3rd down over and over and over again. That wasn't great scheming. That was a player on a ridiculous hot streak, not unlike Flacco.

Not with their two best pass rushers playing like shells of themselves due to injury

Why you need depth. Something Harbaugh and Fangio didn't believe in developing on D.

Yea we'll be just fine if Bosa and our 2nd best pass rusher are playing with one arm

Well you give credit to Ravens for shutting down the Pats without Edelman or Gronkowski. Those seem like pretty big losses too.

Why do only selective injuries matter?

Maybe ask yourself that question?

They played another HOFer (who got 2 KRs) and another QB that was on track to be a HOFer. Man that team sucked
