Not true. If Kyle lost to a 5.5 point underdog in the SB I'd be very upset with him, not spinning how it was actually an all time team.

An all time team in terms of how hot they were. Bill and Tom lost to Nick Foles. If a QB gets hot then you can throw regular season out the window

Or like a HOF talent that can get hot just from a single series and then lead a massive comeback.

He didn't need a massive comeback because the offense didn't score enough while we had control of the game. 20 point SB Kyle

Clearly all Kyle's fault.

Meanwhile the 9ers players under Harbaugh just didn't execute in the first half when they fell behind.

We have the smartest offensive coach in the game. Maybe you don't really believe that, because if you did you'd be disappointed

Clearly he's not. He called for a shotgun snap that one time.

Can you quote me calling him out for a shotgun snap? Or you just starting to lose ammo?

That's exactly what the Johnson criticism is.

Again every play that has ever failed is Kyle's fault and every play that has ever succeeded is the players talents. We get it.

This whole thread is populated by half a dozen posters made up versions of reality and a bunch of other normal rational thinking posters.

Stay on the side of the Witches curse.

A rabid political system where both sides present a dystopian candidate without any attempt to bring the country together and that's all your worried about?

The point being that Kyle often sends out a player who seems badly equipped to do a job and when he doesn't do they job, the player is blamed. Kyle so believes in his system that he thinks any player can execute it when infact he should be attempting to get superior talent to implement its complexities and then we may not be having this discussion if Kyle is cursed.

Tyler Kroft's block on Reddick lives in infamy in 49er folk law but really it was a stretch for Kyle to ask him to do that and in retrospect the whole thing is a train wreck waiting to happen. And that is the way Kyle coaches. He takes chances when he shouldn't take chances and plays defensive when he should be playing aggressive. Kroft tried to execute as wel las he could but he wasn't able to complete on Reddick who is Phillys best pass rusher. And Kyle should have given more thought to that when he dialled in the play. Kyle should have said, "Hey, what are the chances of this play ending in disaster and us having to go with Johnson for the rest of the game?". Kyle didn't put enough weight on that as part of his calculations and it seems that is the trend in Kyles coaching career. I don't know if that is because he is the son of Mike and perceived as being "The Chosen One" since birth or if Witches did genuinely curse Kyle when he was in his crib, MacBeth style as so many people have been told.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,

We see it time and again. How many people watched the OT in the last Superbowl with their hands over their eyes? The little voice inside their head saying OMG here comes another Kyle Shannahan train wreck. Just waiting for it to happen. Truth be told, the whole game was like that.

Kyle is cursed.

Then feel free to find a new team and stop wasting your time with this one

No

It's my team as much as anyone.

I was around when Montana, Lott, Clark, Wright, Freddie S first lit it up in the 70s.

I've got every right to give my opinion on the current mob who like everyone else, have their flaws but also their fantastic positive values and like most people I can call them out on both because this great country is still free even though everyone wants to bring it down.

The current incarnation of the 49ers have not quite got the job done on Superbowl day and granted, I understand it is tough but when we talk about Kyle, we must understand that there seems to be a force against him from the afterlife or from some sort of hexed wish against him that sees him get extremely close but never ever able to achieve the goal he has craved since the early days when he used to run around after his dad at practice and dream of the day, that he too would coach.

I am not sure but there is a whole backstory to how Kyle became cursed and how we have to follow this from year to year and probably from lifetime to lifetime as Kyle's spirit inherits the new soul of every 49er head coach from now till eternity.

To be human is to suffer.

And we as 49er fans have our own special suffering that only WE as a supporter group can appreciate.

That is why we are united.

This is why we come here to post.

We have chosen our form of personal suffering.

It is the quest of the San Fransisco 49ers.

Seek help lol
Kyle must have smashed a few dozen mirrors or walked infront of a few black cats to get such bad luck in Superbowls.
