If Brock Purdy is the elite QB we think he is it will be the first of many potential chances.

Hey mods, how about a new thread for those folks that blame the HC for everything? That way, they can pat each other on the back for blaming the coach when things aren't as they wish, and the rest of us can talk about football. That would be nice. Failing that, maybe a boycott by the rest of us by blocking these haters so that they only get responses from their little clan of haters? It's really getting to be not much fun to getting through their crap posts every single day!
or just remove them. why waste space with blocked posts

This page would suck without their comedy.
as long as we have kyle i think we'll always find good WRs. something jimjohn harbaugh could never do.

We also aren't running Roman's archaic offense. lol just look at what his WRs were saying in Baltimore and how poorly they performed. His route tree system is literally like 1975. Haha he has an excellent run game system but crappy pass game.

Itll be interesting to see how his new young WRs do and how the qb responds to it - especially after having studs at WR for the last few years.

Romans system is designed for high efficiency from the passing game. Itll be interesting how it works out with the young guys he has in today's game. I imagine they'll struggle a lot

I blame Baalke more than Jim for the crappy drafts under the Harbaugh 49er era. But agree - as long as we have Kyle, this 49er offense will always be in the top ten in the NFL. Injuries and defense are my main issues with Kyle.

The Wide 9 is a defend the pass first alignment and that gives (I think) a schematic *disadvantage* - in a sense - to the 49er defense if its true that the 49er defensive philosophy is to stop the run first, and then stop the pass second. IMO.

I hope your right but with the loses after the season and paying a Elite QB it may take a minor rebuild unless our draft picks can take over for the players we lose. Having Brock progress even more will take up some of the departures.

We still need better protection to see what Brock possibly can be. This season may come down to McKivitz taking a huge step forward it is his only 2nd season but D coordinators go after the right side.

It wouldn't suck, but yeah the comic relief is real fun.
I'm guessing Kyle was remote coaching our sister soccer team Leeds United today... lost at the VERY end in one of soccer's most important games, and another wasted season for Leeds... got to start all over next season. York fam is getting used to losing big games it seems.

Kyle must have smashed a few dozen mirrors or walked infront of a few black cats to get such bad luck in Superbowls.

Lesser coaches don't get in the position to have the close calls in the first place.

So Kyle is better because he's at least a SB loser ?

Kyle is a good coach, but he is cursed.

Some demon or witch from the afterlife put a curse on Kyle and the teams that he coaches.
Man I think this offense would be crazy if we can get a guy like Pline to become a gem. Imagine having someone of that size and athleticism as a reliable pass catcher in this offense 😍😍

Eventually the random events regress back to the mean. (I hope) Meaning, at some point, if Kyle keeps getting into the playoffs, luck *should* turn in his favor at some point. I mean how *unlucky* is it for Greenlaw and Feliciano to get injured in the friggen Superbowl vs maybe next year or maybe before the playoffs. At some point - I hope - Kyle will use up all his bad luck and all that's left is the good luck.
What if Kyle has infinite and eternal bad luck due to the curse that was placed upon him.

Isn't it sad though. Instead of having the luxury of a loaded roster and aiming for a dynasty, we're hoping that the gods will favor us and give us ONE Super Bowl victory so we could be at peace. That's how low we've become as a fanbase. It's the frustrating thing with Shanahan and his fans. They're willing to lower expectations to accommodate his mediocrity. Instead of relying on his skill and expertise, we're banking on luck.
