Just like the final drive in Cleveland. On Armsteads podcast Aiyuk let it slip that Kyle didn't know what to call on that drive. Im sorry, but we can't have that anymore from Kyle. The team that was prepared for the moment came out on top, and it's not surprising

We doing this crap again?

He didn't have a plan for OT? You just don't like the plan and get to hate on it even more because it failed.

Want to know the plan? It was score a TD, something they were certainly well in range of doing if Burford does what he's coached to do and then the expectation was the defense holds the lead.

That's the other funny thing here for all the "we're the Bills" if we played that same game in the rules of those days the 49ers won the SB.

And what are you even talking about Cleveland? You mean the game where the kicker missed a 41 yarder FG to win it?

Yeah our players on the micd up like "duuude, I didn't know they get the ball back if we score"

Their players all knew from the coin flip to the final play what they wanted to do and what plays they might run. There was clearly a difference in preparation

And the Cleveland game is a great example. Aiyuk said himself Kyle didn't know what to call. That just can't be from our offensive genius

Post the Cleveland thing, I don't know what you're talking about but the result was we were in game winning FG range without CMC, Deebo out there and Trent Williams playing on one leg and an injury that kept him out the next 3 or so weeks.

And our players not knowing the OT rules changed nothing. We've had this conversation like 100+ times in here. NOTHING. Getting the ball first or second and the result changes nothing about the actual plays you have to make. You still play football - your goal is score a TD and stop KC from scoring theirs. Were the OT rules different somehow? No? Then stop making it something it wasn't.

KC looked lost with all their amazing coaching until a kick hit our rookie's leg and McCloud was too stupid to fall on the ball and decided to pick it up and run with it handing KC the easy TD and total game changer.
Ignore these trolls and they will go away. Stop giving them daily attention and getting into "debates" with them. They have no understanding about football and all they know is throwing out stupid hot takes. They are worse than those guys who call in sports radio shows and say the dumbest things.

They are very reminiscent of the Rome show call in types. Legends in their own minds.

At 44:30 he says Kyle didn't know what to do. Then he catches himself and tries to reword it, but still says Kyle didn't know what play to run. I expect Kyle and the rest of the team to have a plan for these situations. It blew my mind when Aiyuk said that

BA saying that Kyle didn't know what to do In that situation or what play to call Is a little concerning lol.

I think the fact that Brock will be in his 3rd year, will help Kyle call plays better. It's a team game and the QB and coach work as a team.

There have been instances where Bill Walsh would call a play and Joe would simply ignore the play because it was a bad playcall - in his mind. I remember him in an interview saying sometimes he'd laugh at some of the playcalls Bill would call and just shake his head and move on.

It's complete nonsense and might be one of the dumbest reaches yet. In context it was obvious he was talking about the struggles they had throughout the course of the game, not that Kyle didn't 'know what to do'. They huddled and ran a quick snap play… which worked out quite well. Who do you think called that play?

Seriously. What's even more amusing is dude was using that clip to show Kyle doesn't prepare the team when shortly after they talk about the coaching BA received to help him do what he did on that play.

And yes that game was sloppy as hell from Brock cuz of the rain, Deebo being out. CMC being out at that point and Trent playing on one leg vs one of the top pass rushers in the game. Kyle asking his best player at that point to make a play isn't crazy or indicative of someone who doesn't actually know what to do. Just means in that moment in a game where few things are going right you just dial up something quick to get the ball into your talent's hands and let them work.

We are the opposite of the Bill Walsh 80's 49ers. Back then our offense seemed almost automatic at the end of games and in those situations.

Andy Reid had his team coached up and ready to go when it turned into situational football. Reid wasn't drinking during the O.T rules meeting with the officials LOL.
