He needs to revamp his drop back passing scheme. All the talk of him taking Jimmy to a SB, but the truth is he was never able to make Jimmy look good in the playoffs. Our roster was just good enough to win in spite of him. I really think he needs to get better in the drop back passing game if we're going to win a ring. His passing offense gets called out by guys like Kurt Warner
Hence Kyle picked up Pearsol and Cowing and drafted Puni and Kinston. Kyle's not so stupid that he can't see his faults. He's a bit stubborn but his super bowl losses has always made him change his fundamental philosophies for the better.
1987 the 49ers were one and done and looked like they were a fading team, but then whalla, the next two years - they get it done and were on the verge of a three-pete. You just don't know. Specially with a franchise level QB like Brock, I don't think there's any real good reason to be pessimistic about the 49ers future or Kyle's coaching. But there's nothing wrong with being pessimistic. Whatever floats a 49er fans boat, so long as they are 49er fans.
Yeah the good ol fizzle in the drizzle against the Vikings when the niners had the number 1 defense and number 1 offense.
Kyle needs to make adjustments to finally win one and then we can have Kyle as a great niners coach. He is better than most coaches and if he learns that coaches like spags catch on to what the offense is doing. He needs to counter with adjusting the offense to the new holes in zone D.
When are these 'anti-kyle' guys going to start focusing on the defense? It was the defense that couldn't hold the lead the offense gave them, but these guys skip right over that fact so that they could continue to blame KS for not winning the SB. It's laughable, with their "It's a fact dude" comments. "He's 0 for 3 bro!" LOL.
You have to be kidding. As the head coach he is responsible for both sides. We have expended more resources on the the defensive side— the d line to be exact than any other group. They played great in the sb then ran out of gas at the end or kc coached around the. Result is the same. 0-3. If it makes you feel better we can say Kyle is 0-2.5.
ShanaLynch *have* indeed spent a lot of resources on the defensive side, but they've misfired also (Reuben/Solomon etc...) Ultimately, this is a game of talent on both sides of the ball. The ones that win the Superbowl - generally speaking - are more talented than the loser team (be it coaching or players). McNabb/Alex Smith was simply not as talented as Patrick hence neither McNabb or Alex have any Superbowl wins. Brock, since coming into the league has been deep into the playoffs/Superbowl every year. That's - to me - is incredibly encouraging in that we have a Patrick Mahomes level QB on this team now, vs a McNabb/Jimmy/Alex Smith level QB. I think it's only a matter of time before Brock/Kyle wins one. I just like the fact that Kyle is getting closer and closer to
a super bowl win, vs lesser coaches that are getting closer and closer to actually making it into the playoffs, or the Conference Championship game.
